Bardsley

Post by Longsidejono » Sat Dec 30, 2017 7:45 pm

Had a good game today got forward well.

But he’s so fast to turn and point at our players when it’s not going too well saw him rolling his eyes today at a throw in cause there was no movement and throwing his arms in the air at jbg today just passion or does he think his experience is more than the team?

If we do lose a few we don’t need this or do we?

I'm confused.

Are you complaining about a more experienced player trying to keep the team motivated?

High standards and being on it all the time - no issues from me on that - he will have learned that at Utd and I don't see Sean minding it either - raise the bar that is what our philosophy is all about

He's a senior experienced premier league player, I think the manager would expect this from him.

I’m not complaining at all just wanted to see if the fans think it’s good or bad, since Barton has gone we don’t have any natural born leaders hence Heaton as captain when fit

Bardsley is a natural leader.

He needs to calm down. We work as a group through thick and thin, that's what makes our team so special.

Personally I think it's a good thing, especially if he's got Kevin Long playing next to him.
Long would benefit from it.

Correct, hence why addressing the situation if we have been doing so well without one do we need a hot head shouting at screaming at everyone

It's mid season, games coming thick and fast.
Players tire, take their eye of the ball so to speak.

We were a bit iffy 2nd half of last season, so if we've got someone who can help fire the players up then let him get on with it.

He knows what's needed to stay up and he can help us avoid a collapse.

If that's his way, so be it.

If you try to change it, you'd probably change his entire game.
It's no biggie, anyway. In the grand scheme of things.

As long as Bardsley doesn't do that about children in restaurants then we're okay.

Been great as a replacement for Lowton
but if Lowton is fit again then he offers more in terms of athleticism and attacking guile which we have missed.

It's great to have these dilemmas though.

He does have an attitude which is sometimes helpful on the pitch and sometimes not. He can sometimes be a bit impatient with the ball boys too. He has done well since coming in for Lowton but I think Lowton still edges it for me. Good to have this competition.

He shouted at long a few times. And did same at brighton to Benn Mee anf Taylor. And on every occasion it was justified and a way if keeping them on it.

Cant be doing that bad - weve shut brighton, watford, stoke and huddersfielf out.

Also noticed that when Taylor made a cruicial tackle Dyche clapped for what seemed like 5 minutes until Taylor looked up and saw it.

Hoping Lowton is back Monday, think his extra touch of pace will help us out more, and that bit better going forward IMO.

Bardsley lack of pace and usual match aggression may see him targeted for cards and fouls against the snowflakes

Had a better game imo yesterday, I also noticed him on at long, not good to see, that's certainly not what sd preaches, small margins but get Lowton back for me he provides much more of a threat going forward but has improved at he's primary job of defending to, not quite to tripps standard yet but was getting there had provided some super crosses in the games before he was injured.

Was he getting on at Long in a 'you're a useless git' sort of way or was he merely reminding him of his duties in the scheme and his positioning? One way is unacceptable and the other is good senior pro stuff.

It doesn't matter what we think about it, it's only an issue for Dyche and/or Long.

A defender with about 200 PL appearances sorting out a player with about 2 dozen..

Yeah I know.
I felt Bardsley was too hysterical yesterday and Long was turning away looking a tad embarrassed and if I could read his mind was thinking shut up you dick.
I think Bardsley is worth his place but he needs to cut that out, he should take a look at how Barton got his point across without undermining anyone’s confidence.

All this talk about Ward and Brady but Phil cost us a point today giving away another needless free kick.

People like that he gets stuck in, that he takes no prisoners but he gives away far too many free kicks, no surprise here that one resulted in a goal.

Naive from such an experienced player.

He's done really well in the main but with Lowton breathing down his neck I suspect he just played his way back out of the team.

to be fair, he gave away a free kick that was floated in in a manner I would expect a Sunday League team to comfortably defend - other than that....

Did he? Or was it Defour with that wild kick? Not sure which one the ref gave but Defour's came first.

Conceding from set-pieces is always is a little infuriating. It's at least better then our first PL season with Dyche. We were awful at defending set-pieces that season.

The commentator on the match said about Bardsley this
He was taking a throw in and after on what Bardsley was replicating was no-one wanted the ball so he throw up his arms in discussed in say does nobody want it
The commentator pick up on this and said that's something that I don't like to see it's ungentlemen conduct to see such arrogance
But to me he was just putting a point across as though to say who wants it.

He didn't follow Klavan at the back post either, just let him stroll in unmarked and score. Bardsley just isn't good enough, Lowton has to start for the sake of the team balance.
