£8,000,000 offer on the table plus 2 players. One player on loan for rest of the season and one on a permanent basis.

Surely Karanka won't be selling till he's had a look at the squad?
Or at least telling the board to hold off for a couple of days?

No idea if the offer has been accepted or rejected but the offer has certainly been placed with Forest.Lancasterclaret wrote:Surely Karanka won't be selling till he's had a look at the squad?

Re: Joe Worrall linked
Got a feeling Kevin Long could be moving for regular first team football which he needs at this stage of his career coming up 28.
I think it will be Kevin Long permanent with Ulvestad on loan with view to a permanent when his contract runs out dependent on performance.
I think we will sign both Juzo Simunovic (23) and Joe Worrall (20) on the conveyor belt ready for the call when Mee and Tarks eventually leave.

Re: Joe Worrall linked
Long won't be going anywhere but a defensive coach like Kawanka isn't going to let Worrall leave without a replacement coming in.
This might take some getting over the line and we do have a history with Florist and transfers falling through.

If we did sign Worrall I guess we'd then need to go for Walcott, and er um?

Nah. Their own fans don't say Nottm - it's unpronounceable. Imagine if Wolves suddenly decided they wanted to be called Wlvmptn - they'd be laughed out of court.boatshed bill wrote:Nah, Nottingham Forest,

You can't just say Forest, because they'd be confused with Forest Green or the deceased Redbridge Forest; you can't pronounce Nottm; Nottingham Forest is far more syllables than the club is worth. It has to be Notts Forest.
Re: Joe Worrall linked
Karanka and Forest together would be amazed if the sold to us

I might be on my own here, but if someone refers to a football club as 'Forest', I automatically and 99.9% of the time correctly, assume twice European cup winners, Nottingham Forest rather than Forest Green or Redbridge Forest'.dsr wrote:

Then clearly you aren't on a mission to wind up any Notts Forest fans.dushanbe wrote:I might be on my own here, but if someone refers to a football club as 'Forest', I automatically and 99.9% of the time correctly, assume twice European cup winners, Nottingham Forest rather than Forest Green or Redbridge Forest'.

If I was a Nottingham Forest fan and someone referred to the club as Notts Forest, I wouldn't get wound up by it, I'd just think they were thick and/or a prick.
