Joe Worrall linked
It's in the sun.
The very sort of player we should be going after. Let's go and find the next Tarkowskis in this window.

I didn't know that.
It just shows that football doesn't exist unless Burnley are involved.

I know my football and I thought he was a crap referee, plus he must be ancient by now, so not for me.

I must be the only one on here that doesn't know the referees past or present, good or bad.
I only boo them when on t'Turf and then that's the end.

And surprise surprise the article is written by our old friend Alan Nixon!
Definitely the right type of profile we should be looking at so let’s keep fingers crossed shall we.

Re: Joe Worrall linked
Fawaz not there any more.
£12 million is a lot of money.
But so was £2 million for Keane, as was £3 million for Tarks.
We've been 'ahead of the curve' in signing centre backs for the past few years. The reported fee doesn't worry me given our current financial state. You've got to trust in the manager's track record here - it's particularly good.

Sounds ike a young good un. 12 million pounds in todays market is cheap for an England under 21 captain, we should snap their hands off

You would think the £12m would be the overall figure based on appearances and development...
But I agree, this is the right profile of player we should be looking for (a bit like when Arsenal signed Holding from Bolton).

£5 million, a player in exchange, plus add one sounds about right, but certainly what we should be doing.

This season has seen the 20-year-old make 26 appearances, while HE has played 47 times for Forest in total.
Why is 'he' capitalised? Has somebody suggested he's not a he?

If there’s owt in this I think we could get him early in the Window. Forest will want as much time as possible to get his return replacement in, I suppose.

Never heard of him but I've just spat me brew all over breakfast when reading Swansea want £40m for Mawson. Anybody for £12m has to be a snip, after that.
Re: Joe Worrall linked
We should sign-up McParland on a 30 day contract then get him to make the deal. He should easily be able to get this one over the line and quickly.

That's an easy one to mention given we were very close to signing him in August. Whether we are going back in for him or not I don't know. The Enclosure wrote:same article also mentions a possible bid of 1.5 m for Everton's 30 year old winger Aaron Lennon.

That could be a couple of very decent signings if they come off. Even if that was our only business this window.Dyche is also ready to make a low £1.5m bid for Everton’s Aaron Lennon, 30, the winger he missed out in the summer — as we first revealed

The sort of player we could probably pay £20million for and still not lose out.

I'm convinced the sheepish-looking black-beared bloke driving a black Audi down Gawthorpe today, was Charlie Austin. One striker in and one out? Let's see.

Re: Joe Worrall linked
Never seen this lad play, but his profile sounds spot on to me. Large fee that but with the cash we have and him being an England U21 international (and tied down long term) and in an age where an out of form Van Dijk commands £75m, it’s probably about right?
Good link to see as well because we do need another centre back, and the longer we go not hearing of a Tarky renewal, the more you get a Keane-ish feeling he could be off for a massive few this summer coming. We need to keep that conveyer belt churning, with Ben Mee being the everlong cornerstone of that unit. I just hope if this happens we learn our lesson and get the lad on a four year contract from the get-go. Three year contracts give the players far too much power in my opinion.

I don't know whether I am looking forward to another month of rumours / player spotting / nonsense attention seeking or not. February can't come quick enough.
That said, its almost impossible to stay away from UTC, Nixon's Twitter account etc. Is there another pastime that takes over lives as much as football?
