Not bad considering the amount of grappa I sank.

I’m kicking off 2018 in style by laying a cable.

I used to always have Ribena and a Mars bar to cure my hangover, don't know if it was a mind job thing but always worked.

Non-existent.

The older I get, getting drunk appeals less and less. I'd love to have several drinks and get merry, but with a 3 year old, trying to handle a dicky tummy and a banging head while having to pretend being a T-Rex/Power Ranger/Dragon running around the lounge does not appeal.

Edit: Just to add. Just before Christmas we had a appointment with the main man, Santa, at Townley Garden Centre. We were approaching the traffic lights at Manchester Road a little after 8.30am (we'd been up since 5) to find a night club only just kicking out and the road full of smartly dressed, slightly wobbly people.

My thoughts? Not jealousy, but the thought thay they'd ruined a day! What a waste! I must be getting old.....

Not bad, but as above.

Mulled wine, couple of games of Catan with the kids and watching chic but still not nearly enough sleep

I collapsed about 3am (I think) having enjoyed several ales (Pride and Joy beer, yum yum), a bottle of red wine (Claret of course) and a couple of Cognac's. Woke up an hour ago feeling OK (ish). Will be in the Bridge about 12.30pm to see how it goes.

UTC NNN.

Three cups of tea last night have left me with a radiance beyond all comprehension. I couldn't have said the same yesterday after taking a good 12 hours getting from home to Huddersfield and then home again on Saturday :o

Great! haven't had a drink in over 5 years.

All days just blend into each other with sobriety.

Apparently its new years day today.

Fine today......unusually!

Can’t remember what year, but I think we played Wolves on New Years Day with an early kick off.......you think the atmosphere is rubbish now, that day it seemed everyone just sat there, including Wolves fans nursing one big hangover!

Not too bad. My hangover cure is fizzy pop, paracetamol and as much sleep as you can get.

Happy new year.

Dioralyte powders (for replacing essential minerals after diahorrea) make quite a big difference to the recovery. Also useful for migraines.

They were pretty badly behaved. Just as long as we don’t play them again in a pre-season friendly.

I seem to have a simple calculation... Nights out = days of a hangover.

If I drink 3 nights on the bounce, I have a 3 day hangover. If I go out just the once, it's just a 24 hour one.

Cheers pal. She's being operated on now but what was supposed to be a 2 hour major op has turned in to 4 hours so far and she still isn't out.
