First two Premier League signings completed
The window is open and there have been two signings this morning.
Virgil van Dijk has completed his move to Liverpool from Southampton while Adrien Silva has finally been able to complete his move to Leicester having been sat in limbo since August when his transfer went through 14 seconds too late for him to play.
I've set up the sticky, as always, to list all the transfers.

Very good signing for liverpool. Been obvious for years if they had a good defence they would be serious title contenders.

Re: First two Premier League signings completed
Can't play, signings have to be completed by 12 noon on the day before the game and they couldn't register the signing until this morning so he's not available until tomorrow.mdd2 wrote:So as it is not 12md can Virgil play today?

If Coutinho really is on his way will Liverpool risk him today?

Re: First two Premier League signings completed
It would be a real shame for him to get injured playing against the “physical Burnley team”... and ruin any potential transfer to Barca... and stop a competing top 7 team from strengthening further with any money they may receive from Barca...Claretforever wrote:If Coutinho really is on his way will Liverpool risk him today?

Hopefully Coutinho plays. He's the master of the 25 yard shot into row Z.

I'm surprised the Premier League haven't put our game back 24hrs.

Re: First two Premier League signings completed
Strange one this given the manager and his team that sourced this player have long since left the club.ClaretTony wrote:Adrien Silva has finally been able to complete his move to Leicester having been sat in limbo since August when his transfer went through 14 seconds too late for him to play.
One wonders whether Puel would have wanted him?
Re: First two Premier League signings completed
Silva made his debut coming on as an 86th minute sub. He can’t have signed yesterday so who’s wrong here?

He signed in August - but was not permitted to play until today. Very strange one.dushanbe wrote:Silva made his debut coming on as an 86th minute sub. He can’t have signed yesterday so who’s wrong here?
Re: First two Premier League signings completed
‘Silva is excited about the prospect of now being able to make his debut for Leicester, although his registration was not completed in time for him to face Huddersfield later on Monday.’
Everything I’ve read says he was registered today and therefore shouldn’t have been available until tomorrow

Leicester 3 point deduction for playing an ineligible player?dushanbe wrote:‘Silva is excited about the prospect of now being able to make his debut for Leicester, although his registration was not completed in time for him to face Huddersfield later on Monday.’
