Kevin Mirallas
According to sky his future is uncertain at Everton he’s got a attitude problem but would be excellent for us I think he would become the most recognised player and really do well for us
Re: Kevin Mirallas
Read your own post and it might give you a good clue why we would probably not be interested
Good player on his day - not had many of "his days" in last 2 years since he's been trying to engineer a move away.
Perfect for West Ham - £90k a week - 15 year deal

Do you mean "never had his day ever" as in playing in the Premier League for 12 or 13 consecutive seasons ?Longsidejono wrote:Ok everybody happy with Aaron Lennon then 85k a week not had his day ever
Or do you mean in any of his 21 international appearances ?
Not sure where you get the £85k a week from - if he is on that we would only sign him on a short term loan.
Either way the post was about Mirallas - you know the one with an attitude problem

Not sure Joey Barton has a bad attitude. Was popular at most clubs he played for.

I'll accept Joey to a point but not Andre Gray who, to my knowledge, hadn't been disruptive in a dressing room as Mirallas seems to have been.
I do think Dyche knew exactly what he was doing and what he was getting with Joey though.

Based on that peter crouch must be high on our wanted list!
I’m sure the board would be gutted if we signed Ronaldo tomorrow cause he’s got a attitude.
Re: Kevin Mirallas
Yeah I bet he was, Redknapp hated him at QPR, he stubbed a cigar out on a fellow team mate at Man City and was kicked out of Rangers for brawling in training with his team mates.Pearcey wrote:Not sure Joey Barton has a bad attitude. Was popular at most clubs he played for.

The stats in my post were in response to your stupid statement that Lennon had never been any good.
The reason I doubt very much he will be on £85k a week is that he is getting on a bit now and I can't believe that Burnley were close to signing a player in the summer who would be on double the rest of the squad.
Are you so upset cos nobody supported your idea of signing some guy who has been pretty much on strike these last 2 years and waiting to run down his contract ?
Re: Kevin Mirallas
His behaviour has obviously been questionable but his attitude to hard work on the pitch has been decent at ‘most’ clubs.

If shitheads like Sanchez aren't happy with the players he plays with at Arsenal, on his 300 grand a week, anything can tilt these nobheads.
Now having to actually earn your measley 30 grand a week at Burnley would be too much for some European type.
Stick with the British and Irish me says.

Lennon has scored 33 goals in 334 games and mirallas has scored 29 in 151 I’m not upset I’m just disappointed that a person who supports my team would rather us acquire a journey man rather than someone who has quality.
Defour of last season would have been dropped but he had the quality every so often to keep the fans interested. Now he’s put in the work he’s a complete player.
Either way none will end up at turf moor. (Playing FOR Burnley )

We have signed plenty with issues or attitude problems. I'd sooner them than ones lacking skill. We all know that Dyche can work miracles. Improving morale and hard work is his biggest talent.

He's only been talking (again) recently about the depth that goes into signing the 'right' characters and not just players who have skill.

Re: Kevin Mirallas
The characters are very important. I agree 100%. But its worth taking the odd gamble.
There are reasons Mirallas would be worth it.
He is a good player.
Point to prove in world cup year.
Will know Defour.
Doesnt have to move too far if at all.
The odd one with a bad attitude will feel like a dickhead if he comes in rocking a steady ship. So if we got him on loan and he was a knob we could just send him back!

Re: Kevin Mirallas
From the little I've seen of him I also think that he's a decent player.
And of course there are two sides to a story and it is may be easier to just say so and so has an attitude problem.
It doesn't mean a player will have an attitude problem at every club he goes to.

Attitude and probable wages aside, EXACTLY the type of player we need to replace Brady.

Actually, not signing Miralles doesn't automatically mean we have to sign Lennon. It's not an either/or, it's quite possible that we sign neither.Longsidejono wrote:Ok everybody happy with Aaron Lennon then 85k a week not had his day ever

Re: Kevin Mirallas
I would 100% take both Mirallas and Lennon.
Would improve our squad dramatically and allow us a creative input we lack (other than the consistently excellent JBG)

Re: Kevin Mirallas
Barton's attitude problem was nothing to do with not wanting to work hard and not wanting to play. If anything, it was the other way round - he so badly wanted to play well and work hard that he overreacted to players who (in his opinion) weren't doing all they should be.Braindead wrote:Two words...Joey Barton
There were two reasons why this wasn't a problem at Burnley - for one, there were few if any players who weren't doing the work; for another, Dyche was so obviously the boss that if Barton did give anyone a rollicking (eg. Charlton away), they knew that it was with Dyche's tacit approval because Dyche would have stepped in and stopped it if he'd wanted to.
When Barton had a manager who he didn't respect and who didn't have a complete grasp of club discipline, then he was a menace. If both Barton and the rest of the team knew exactly who was boss and what the rules were, he was a model pro. The 3 months at Rangers showed it wasn't Barton who changed, because he got there, found players who he thought weren't trying, shouted at them, split the dressing room, caused chaos. What was the manager doing? Not much. That could not have happened at Burnley under Dyche.

If Lennon is on £85k a week like you profess he is then I doubt there would be many Burnley fans happy to sign him. It would be the same for Mirallas aswell.
What you said was that Lennon has never been a good player when he has very clearly had a better career than Mirallas. Lennon played for Spurs for years - whereas Mirallas spat his dummy out because he wanted to play for them and probably never will now.
What the hell Defour has got to do with this now I'm not sure.
If Dyche signs Mirallas then that's fine - just like if he signs Ronaldo....fine by me !
You might want to listen to what he said about Tarks new contract though and why they gave it him - does not sound like a man who would break the whole wage structure / framework of the club for a superstar signing on twice as much as the rest of his team.

Aaron Lennon who's played in one country for Leeds, Spurs and Everton, or Mirallas who's played for in three countries for Lille, St Etienne, Olympiacos and Everton?

As said above, doubt he would have been a player for us.
Far too inconsistent and does seem to have attitude issues. I certainly would not have suggested him for us.
