Claret and Blue Cycling Jersey
I vaguely remember a thread on here or possibly on CM about C&B cycling jerseys and a local company who were manufacturing them.
Does anyone recall this or direct me to the company?
Searching for the thread or for any products matching the description isn't finding anything.
Cheers.

I looked for the same last year TheFamilyCat, without success. I'll keep an eye on this post just in case something turns up. Good link as well conyoviejo. Thanks.

Re: Claret and Blue Cycling Jersey
You could possibly design your own to be sublimated from one of the Chinese companies on alibaba etc ... would probably be quite cheap to do and you could personalize it as much as you wanted also.

I used to have a claret and blue Castelli Unavolta. Not sure if they’re still available.
Re: Claret and Blue Cycling Jersey
Me and a few friends started our own club a couple of years ago and use a company called teejac in north wales for jerseys. You can design your kit from a good selection of templates. There are no minimum orders and only £35 a top, decent quality.

Free delivery too. Tell them Le Pelton Cycling recommended them

Hi all. I've sent an enquiry to teejac with modification from the one that starting_11 attached. I'll let you all know if I get a reply. I've also mentioned Le Pelton Cycling SirAlec.

That looks like the best bet SirAlec, cheers. What is the fit of the jerseys? I have a. Few of the bulges you would associate with a middle aged man so prefer my clothing to be a bit looser than race-fit.
Have you enquiried about prices for a single Jersey or for more? I guess they will be cheaper the more you buy.beddie wrote:Hi all. TheFamilycat. I've asked at this stage to quote for a single jersey but mentioned that others may be interested.

Few pics on our club instagram, we don't post many pics though. I like the fit its quite a casual looking style really, good at hiding a spare tyre if you go a size bigger but also sporty looking if you go tight. They will also stick your name on your jersey for no extra cost last time we orderd.

Re: Claret and Blue Cycling Jersey
The shirts look good on the photos.
I have avoided the obvious claret body/ blue sleeves (even though all home kits should follow this pattern).
I like the double vertical stripe design and currently favour the blue stripes with no white version, although having now seen all three together, think I may prefer the third version:
I also think this one looks coolly retro:

I also tried some blue with claret stripes but the all looked like West Ham away shirts.

Re: Claret and Blue Cycling Jersey
Just bringing this post to the top. Going to try and add a couple of photos later of two shirts, I've not done it before so bear with me, (might require help). Same shirt but one with a claret collar the other with blue. They can be ordered in short or long sleeve. £35.00 a shirt. They will add any logos at no extra cost. Huw at teejac sports (link further up the posts) has done the mock ups for me. I've suggested to him that after I've ordered mine you can deal direct with him, that way you can alter your design to your preference.

Re: Claret and Blue Cycling Jersey
Thanks for posting this Beddie. Unfortunately, I found Teejac's customer service to be appalling so gave up on the idea. I submitted the designs and spoke to Huw twice but he never provided me with a quote for the work. Very disappointing, I was hoping to be sporting claret and blue for the Tour de Yorkshire sportive on Sunday.
Re: Claret and Blue Cycling Jersey
Thanks TheFamilyCat. I have had to keep pushing him for a couple of months so I understand what you mean. Yes it's a pity not to have a claret jersey for this weekend, especially as the riders come very close to where we live. I want about 4 shirts, a couple for me and my Son but I'm thinking of just ordering 1 first in order to check the size and quality. Good luck, I hope you find something.

Re: Claret and Blue Cycling Jersey
I emailed Teejac with a kit design and their chap got straight back to me by phone. He confused me with one of our other poster who'd already been in touch.
The design I fancy is below but if we could get some concensus, it might be possible to have shirts made up, badges are also a free option, on a cheaper group basis.

Just as a matter of interest, would we be allowed to use the club crest or is that a copyright issue ?

Longsidebovril. Would you have a claret or blue or both on the collar and what about the sleeves. Just interested before I go back to teejac.

Re: Claret and Blue Cycling Jersey
Last Sunday at the Bournemouth game, I saw a few C&B cycling tops.
I have been trawling the internet and not found who did them.
I knew I should have asked. The two guys I saw wearing them were outside the New Brewm. I saw another outside the ground too
Anyone else know or saw them

Re: Claret and Blue Cycling Jersey
Hi all, my design ( two designs) via teejac are further up the posts. I was going to order the claret shirt with the blue collar and sleeves but as there was more interest I've held back to see if others come up with something else. I've told teejac I'll get back to them with a final decision shortly. Incidentally, I'll try and get a picture of the ones they wore at the Turf last Sunday.

Katusha are modelling one in the Giro now
Re: Claret and Blue Cycling Jersey
iluva64, I saw a group of the riders with Boohoo sponsored tops outside the Turf last Sunday. The Claret was a different(lighter) shade to ours( as shown above) and more like the West Ham colours. They looked like they'd been washed a hundred times and were fading.
Re: Claret and Blue Cycling Jersey
I was considering a full zip rather than the short collar zip. At my post 20 I've shown a shirt with a blue collar and a claret collar that teejac put together for me. What colour zip would you go for? I gues there is a problem where the blue collar runs into the claret. Would a full white zip look any good? I'm going to order a short sleeve first and if it's good quality and a decent fit then go back for a long sleeve. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
Re: Claret and Blue Cycling Jersey
I’m pretty sure they only do white zips, the kit design online is pretty basic. We ordered some kits earlier in the year and they forgot to put pockets on the back so make sure you mention you want pockets. This is a busy time of year for them they kit out rugby and football teams all over the UK so single orders of cycling jerseys are not gonna be top of their priorities I suspect.beddie wrote:I was considering a full zip rather than the short collar zip. They were the fans that had cycled from Bournemouth in aid of BK prostate cancer fund.iluva64 wrote:Last Sunday at the Bournemouth game, I saw a few C&B cycling tops.

Think the tops were sponsored/provided by Boohoo and wouldn’t think they were on general sale

Re: Claret and Blue Cycling Jersey
Why did none of you buy the cycling jerseys the club shop sold for a couple of years?
Re: Claret and Blue Cycling Jersey
Thanks SirAlec and wilks_bfc, points noted. UpTheBeehole. I did contact the club at the time but they had just sold out and were not expecting to get anymore.
Re: Claret and Blue Cycling Jersey
evensteadiereddie. I've asked Huw to do me the claret front with the blue collar and sleeve ( see my post 20-it's the first one) they are currently doing the mock up. I think the full price is £35.00. If and when it's sorted I will post a picture on here. I told Huw I wanted to see the fit and quality before I ordered a long sleeve. I told him that if other people like it and he gets a few ordered he'll have to bring the price down.

Re: Claret and Blue Cycling Jersey
Thanks, beddie. I've been asked to measure one of my own shirts to ascertain a decent fit - I'm not keen on the racing, skin-tight types (any potential spectators or other road users wouldn't be either ). I'll find that out and then decide whether to go with the group shirt or a one-off.

Re: Claret and Blue Cycling Jersey
evensteadiereddie. I've not ordered the shirt for the group, mine is a one off. I just thought I would order what I prefered due to so many different opinions and tastes, the idea is to then show it on here to the many, that way if anybody wants one they can contact Huw direct.
