My Spurs-supporting mate says at best he will be another Townsend.

Would become the 6th player to have player for Burnley and Marseille if it happens.

If he is as quick as people are saying sides might have to defend deep against us, which is great news for our forwards and midfielders who like more time and space on the ball.

Brady & Nkoudou inspire enough in one season for a fan to make a video. Where's Mclean's for 3 seasons at WBA?
I'm only partially joking
Re: Nkoudou coming to the Turf
Surprised we can still get loans from the big teams. We don't have the best record when it comes to giving them game time.
Re: Nkoudou coming to the Turf
To be fair, compared to some of the people we've got in on loan before, this fella is a step up.

Hopefully as we all want the best deal for Burnley but the more we pay, the more it suggests he will play a bigger part.ClaretTony wrote:Which will probably included his wages - we'll pay Spurs and they'll pay him.

this is the one I was referring to last week.
Re: Nkoudou coming to the Turf
BBC have ran with it as a done deal. Gives us something different, no idea yet whether that's good or bad but it's different! A pacey winger, what a time to be alive.

Hope this ends the rather worrying rumours about signing a rather mediocre irish player, with questionable views, pushing 30.

Re: Nkoudou coming to the Turf
I hope one of the considerations for SD from the City game is the effect of wide men hugging the touch line. This lad does that. The second consideration, having watched a couple of the obligatory YouTube videos, is that SD’s first instructions are for him to cut out wiggling his foot above the ball.

This will be good if it comes off, signing someone who is a bit unknown to everyone instead of going down the tired old line of signing every other ones ageing rejects....ie McClean etc.

I can't believe the club are getting this deal done early, don't they know some people like to spend all window complaining we haven't signed anyone?

We did in the first half of the season. The only problem was, we were paying Portsmouth but they weren't paying Nugent. We managed to get that changed in the second half of the season and paid the player directly.Sidney1st wrote:Like we did with Nugent?

Re: Nkoudou coming to the Turf
Good bit of business by the club.
Potentially offers something different, gives us a short term solution to the Brady situation.
Apart from the obvious clamour from fans to buy in the January Window, there is no real urgency to do any real business in this window. Arguably cover at centre half, we can then use the money for the big European adventure in the summer.
