Great old pictures. I used to love standing on the bridge between accy road and Barracks road above the railway when trains went under breathing the smoke in like we were grown ups with a cough.

Looks like a Vauxhall HA to me. I used to work holidays at the Culvert filling Station and I knackered my leg in a motorbike crash at the junction being approached by the Imp. Happy days!

My Gran still has her outside toilet in the back yard which comes in handy a she is 94 and it's easier than going upstairs. Was born in the same house she still lives in in Colne. My kids think it's a great novelty to have a sh*t outside!!

It's actually a selling point of going round to her house! Let's be honest, most young kids find really old people boring but the outside loo is something else. None of their friends know anyone with such a facility!

Good spot, it certainly looks like a CA van; my dad had one on his milk round for a quite a few years. Driving round with those sliding doors open was the dogs b0llocks, provided you didn’t brake too hard! :)
