I remember I had this old football club guide/review a bit like the old Rothmans from what must have been about 1987 or 1988. Each club had to feature one young player with potential. Burnley featured Jason Harris and I was always wondered what happened to him and whether he made it. Evidently not.paulus the woodgnome wrote:Jason Harris.
Incidentally, Harris, like Robert Regis, had a pro career spanning 4 appearances, all for The Clarets. Regis made all of his appearances in the infamous 86/87 season. He did score a goal though! UTC

John 'Arley, John 'Arley
Tony Grant
The spotty, skinny winger we got on loan from Man Utd. whose name I can't remember, looked a promising player and even played in Man Utd first team a few times but was bobbins for us and kind of faded away into obscurity.

One of the first players I can remember seeing as a kid! Those were the days! I can remember the smell of cigars in the Bob Lord Stand and the whiff of deep-heat (or whatever the hell it was) the players used to use.Steve1956 wrote:Tommy Cassidy.....

For some peculiar reason, I will never forget Jason Hardy scoring the winner against crew. Roughly 1989? I would have been about nine years old. We used to make it a family weekend away travelling up to Burnley for the football. Staying in a farmhouse in Barnoldswick, going for walks along the canal, up Pendle hill etc. Great Memories

Regarding Paul Stewart, his inclusion on this thread has to be withdrawn, as he is not forgotten at all, in fact he is actually 'best forgotten'!
