Pope - 5 - only one major save to make and didn’t make it
Bardsley 4 - crossing so poor
Tarks 6 - very average for him this year
Mee 6 - as Tarks
Taylor 7 - quietened Zaha as the game went on.
JBG 6 - average
Defour 6 - decent when in the final third for crosses generally but some sloppy play
Cork 5 - struggled
Barnes 7 - just for effort and the only one who gave a foothold up the pitch through buying free kicks
Hendrick 3 - said it for weeks but needs a spell out
Vokes 6 - we know it takes him 4-5 games to be match sharp after a spell out and seems to be getting there

Nkoudou 7 - promising

Pope 6
Bardsley 3 - Dirty, slow and wasteful with crosses.
Tarks 6 - Having Bardsley alongside him didn't help.
Mee 7
Taylor 8* - Thought he had a good game.
JBG 6
Defour 5
Cork 6
Barnes 4 - I know he's our player - but I'm sick of him falling to the floor. Yes great it moves us up the pitch etc etc but it's embarassing at times.
Hendrick 3 - Why, just why?
Vokes 5 - Not his fault though - simply had nothing behind him.

Nkoudou 7 - Showed promise, a couple of loose passes but overall looked promising.

Pope 6
Bardsley 3 - dire yet again, god knows what Lowton has to do to get back in the team.
Tarks 6 - hung out to dry by Bardsley
Mee 6 - decent
Taylor 8 - MOM by a mile
JBG 5 - quiet by his standards
Defour 5 - his poorest game for us
Cork 7 - thought he looked better today
Hendrick 3 -not his fault he's out of position.
Barnes 4 - rubbish, offers nothing.
Vokes 5 - better than Barnes marginally.

Nkoudou 7 - god knows why he didn't start, Dyche would rather play a striker on the wing ahead of him.

Dyche 3 - He got it badly wrong today and his stubbornness/loyalty cost us today, Lowton should've been back in, Nkoudou should've started, Hendrick shouldn't be playing a role behind the striker. What does Walters have to do to get a run in the side? if he can't even get 5 minutes off the bench having sat and watched that crap then he may as well pack his bags.

Pope: 6 - only really had the one save but wouldn’t have seen it until late
Bardsley: 4 - Very poor crossing and gave silly free kicks away needlessly
Tarks: 5. Looked a bit slugggish. Should have had a penalty given against him and might have blocked the ball for the goal
Mee: 7. Usual dependable self
Taylor: 7. Played well. Hope to see more of him going forwards soon
JBG: 6. Not in game too much
Cork: 6. Decent game
Defour: 6. Decent but not as dominant as he often is.
Hendrick: 4. Seems bereft of confidence at minute. I do think there’s a real player there and need to remember he’s learning a new role
Barnes: 7. Continues to have his best season for the clarets. Hopefully see him back up top if Wood not fit next weekend
Vokes: 5 - not in game at all. A couple of half chances but didn’t make keeper work with either

GK: 6. Certainly has skill and pace. Let’s hope he does well for us. One cross to far post soon after coming on could have easily resulted in a goal but I don’t think we deserved anything

Pope 6 - couldn’t tell for the goal from so far away
Bardsley 4 - very poor
Tarkowski 6- couple of dodgy moments
Mee 5 - more dodgy moments
Taylor 6 - better second half
JBG 4 - wasteful
Defour 5 - not his usual calm self
Cork 5 - poor
Hendrick 3 - dreadful
Barnes 7 - only one who did much useful
Vokes 3 - no movement & rubbish heading

Nkoudou 5 - first touch aside doesn’t look great

Pope 6 1 shot to save and didn't although came through bodies
Bardsley 3 gave away foul after foul, beaten in the air mist times and totally at fault for the goal
Taylor 6 did ok, a few hiccups but a few good moments
Tarkowski 5 need to see the pen again, looked to catch the back. Nearly cost us to go 2-0, however Mee to the rescue
Mee 7* MOM kept us in the game
Barnes 6 played out of position but tried
Cork 5 nothing of note, again by the way...
Defour 5 left frustrated, silly booking
Hendrick 3 offered as much today as I could, who's fault is that, is up for debate. I hate saying it, but didn't even look to care today.
Gudmundsson 5 huffed and puffed, but had to play with bardsley who either, didn't pass, didn't offer him an out ball and if he did, gave it away
Vokes 6 a couple of nearly headers, but fed on scraps
Nkoudou 6 some good bits, some bad bits. Got the feeling he maybe a 1 in 3 player and a touch marmite

Today was an absolute write off. I can't think of a positive to be honest.
I don't think Our best 11 available were selected, which didn't help. But I don't think palace had to do much today to Win.
Mr Dyche's motto of minimum requirement is maximum effort was today IMO not viable.

As drastic as it sounds if there isn't 2 or 3 changes next time out, then some players could rightly ask what they've got to do to start, and others must be unable to be dropped

Pope 6- might have done better for goal. Not much else to do
Bardsley 5- poor game by his standards. Allowed sako to much time on ball
Mee 7- great desire to get back and stop mcarthur tapping in a second.
Tarkowski 7- apart from a couple of stray passes kept benteke quiet.
Taylor 6- shaky in first Half but like team improved in second.
Cork 5- needs to get back to earlier form. Maybe carrying a knock
Defour 6- our most creative. One cross to vokes stands out.
Gudmondson 6- threatens but too often final ball is inconsistent.
Barnes 6- put himself about. May have done better with chance but ball was running away from him.
Hendrick 4- role doesn't suit him but he's had long enough it's like playing with 10 men at times.
Vokes 6- starved of service however he had two good headers that on another day would have gone in.
Subs
Nkoudou 7- busy and looks to have pace and skill. A bright spot in otherwise lacklustre performance

Very poor against a poor team. Shocking first half. No idea what our formation was supposed to be. Just glad we have 34 points in the bank

Pope 4 only had 1 save to make
Bardsley 3 shocking
Tarks 5 Should have been a penalty. Way to reckless
Mee 7 MOM Incredible goalmouth clearance.
Taylor 6 Still missing ward
JBG 4 Awful free kicks etc
Defour 5 Not at his best but why is he playing so deep
Cork 5 Worked hard but outnumbered
Hendrick 3 Something not right
Barnes 5 Tried hard as usual
Vokes 4 Not in the game

NKoudou 5 Couple of fancy flicks but lightweight

Everybody gets a 9 as we`re not allowed to give less than 9s as we`re 7th in the Premier League, right? Hendrick MOM yes, as you`re definitely not allowed to criticise his performances on here.

Time to acknowledge that certain things aren’t working and that some players need a break, worst I’ve seen us in a long while and far short of what is needed to get points at this level regardless of what SD says.

Pope 6
Bardsley 3
Tarkowski 6
Mee 7
Taylor 7 standout today handled Zaha v well second half
Gudmundsson 5 reluctance to try to go past a man and the constant cutting in and poor crossing disappointing
Defour 6
Cork 5 might benefit from a break
Barnes 6 did at least try to be positive
Hendrick 4 needs a break
Vokes 4 not looking like the answer for us at this level, sadly

NKoudou 6 some very promising signs but those who think he should have simply walked into the team are off their heads.

If Woods is still injured time for a change away from Barnes/Vokes as a partnership. Just not effective in the PL. Barnes justifies his place but I would have thought Walters is the best person to feed off him

Pope 6 should have done better with the goal but unsited by Tarks a little
Bardsley 3
bad game hes persisted holding on to players and making it so easy for the opposition to draw a foul is relentless passing was woeful
Tarks 5 played a dodgy game could have given a penalty away as we have seen him give away before a bit rash
Mee 7
One of our better players today made a good goal saving clearances even though the whistle had been blown for an infringement but wasn't to know.
Taylor 7 best game so far MOM contained Zahar well today
JBG 5 lacked something today was at the races
Defour 5 same as above should have helped out on closing the gap for the goal one or two good crosses
Cork 5 needs a rest not on it for last 3 games or more now
Barnes 5 worked for everything doing the ugly stuff
Hendrick 3 shy lackturious needs dropping don't know what he brings to the table or offers
Vokes 5 feed off scraps one or two half chances that nearly played off

Nkoudou 6 did ok to say how long he's been in our set up needs a full game for me to make a proper judgment

But in the real world...

An abject 1st half performance lacking in anything positive. We looked physically and mentally tired and bereft of tactics, to be honest. The 2nd half was MUCH better (NOT difficult) where we at least attempted to take the game to them. I doubt we would yet have scored though if the game was still being played.

Pope 6

Bardsley 5 - he` s been a good `un but it`s time to get LOWTON back in the team.
Tarkowski 6 - improved as the game went on but that should have been a penalty in the 1st half.
Mee 7 - about as solid as it got and a remarkable clearance at the end of the 1st half.
Taylor 8 MOM - thought he played well throughout and the booking was ridiculous.

Gudmundsson 7 - our only outlet until the introduction of (excuse the spelling) Nkoudou.
Defour 6 - huffed and puffed
Cork 5 - puffed and puffed (looks really tired to me)
Barnes 7 - lots of work and never stopped trying.

Hendrick 3 - utterly pathetic. Horribly short of ideas and physicality. Looks lost. Needs dropping.

Vokes 6 - tried with the scraps he was fed.

Nkoudou 7 - looked really bright. A nice `cameo`.

We`re still 7th in the Premier League which is beyond anyone`s wildest dreams but worrying signs that we cannot cope with this size and depth of squad. Needs adding to desperately. One hopes and presumes that Dyche won`t let his loyalty blind him to the blindingly obvious.

Did not go today but reading the marks on here and listening to radio Lancashire, we we were poor.

I said mid December that we would finish the season on 53pts max and I will stand by that. This squad of players have been punching above their weight and with the injuries we are now struggling.

The midfield is looking tired and needs an injection of new blood. Cork, Jbg, Hendrick and Defour are looking out of sorts and have lost there pre December Form.

All in all to be in the position we are now is a remarkable achievement for our football club who have the smallest budget in the strongest league in the world

`years` would suggest by its nature in such a sentence 6 or 7 so maybe a poster has the right to say that. WBA away was 4-0 - yesterday could easily have been the same at h/t.

Course it was

All I'm asking for is for posters not to out do each other in a race to see who can post the most ridiculous post in the quickest possible time.

Two teams with injury issues, and one team was much better than the other in the first half and took their chance. if thats "worst performance for years" then.....

Possibly but that doesn't mean that they are a poor team!

Agreed but when you play a team who are poor on the day you have to capitalize on it. Just as Palace did yesterday

Correct but a poor performance from us yesterday doesn't make us a poor team.
