Ward & Wood Injuries
What exactly are these two suffering from. All I have read is that Ward has "senior player knees" and needs time to recover. Wood I know nothing about-presume its a knee strain from his collision
They started, as all our injuries are described as "touch and go". Any update on these and when we can expect them to start training ??

Re: Ward & Wood Injuries
I can understand 'senior citizen knees' especially around this time of the year but 'senior player knees'?

I really don't understand why we don't get updates on player injuries. It would be nice to know likely time out.

It's really not helping my fantasy team ...

Not very professional is it?
Touch wood and hope for the best?

Senior players knees ? That's one patella of an excuse.

The only concerning thing is the amount of knee injuries that we've had in recent years

Re: Ward & Wood Injuries
I think that's inevitable for most top - flight clubs bearing in mind the speed the game is played at. It is a little ironic that Brady and Wood's injuries were, to some extent, avoidable.

Re: Ward & Wood Injuries
Ithink "touch and go" in reality simply means, "I aint telling the opposition my team until 60 mins from kick off".
I believe both should be fit this weekend. But it's "touch and go".

Re: Ward & Wood Injuries
Ward didn't start as touch and go - always going to be four to six weeks out and he's just past four weeks.warksclaret wrote:What exactly are these two suffering from. Wood wasn't touch and go either, Dyche reported that his injury needed to be assessed.
Re: Ward & Wood Injuries
Woods sounds worrying.
Re: Ward & Wood Injuries
Wood is still touch and go 6 weeks later, blatant lies from Dyche. I don't know what the big secret it but it's annoying as hell.
Re: Ward & Wood Injuries
If he said that originally perhaps a more reasonable explanation is Wood has suffered a set back, rather than accusing Dyche of being a liar which is a fairly nasty thing to suggest.KRBFC wrote:Wood is still touch and go 6 weeks later, blatant lies from Dyche. Re: Ward & Wood Injuries
Ward is still going to be a few weeks I think. Dyche said he's not even "back on the grass" yet just prior to the weekend. Wood, I feel, is closer from what he said.
Well done KR for being able to have a go at SD re an injured player. Maybe, just maybe, SD does it in the best interest of the team and not just to keep irate supporters happy?

Was on about this yesterday.CoolClaret wrote:The only concerning thing is the amount of knee injuries that we've had in recent years
I think a key thing is the surfaces we train and play on. Theres no give. And no mud to absorb the impact.
Im surprised shin splints arent a big issue these days.
