1 55 HISAR 9/1

2 30 I don't like the fav here captain lars ( trip too sharp )
the bet I like is PIAZON 11/4 loves this course and distance.
3 05 FOOLAAD 4/1
won on the high slow rail over course and distance last time
and is ideally drawn in centre in this race.

Trade horse racing before off rather that bank or lay .. but still like to find value bets and often prefer two value horses on a race to one shorter priced one .

Quick whizz thru the Southwell Card

13.20
Going Native( promising 7lb claimer booked ) and Isoletta look the form pic.. but better value may be had with HILLBOROUGH and IMPERIAL RED, who have both been running in better class races and may take to the fibresand based on sire stats .. both ran in same race last time with Imperial Red before big slowly away.Might both be open to improvement
HILLBOROUGH....Currently 8.8 on Betfair
IMPERIAL RED ... Currently 7.2 on Betfair

13.55

Tricky handicap my two against the field would be FRENCH from a stable in form and the stables horses are running well at the moment , has ran in better class than this and his back form had him rated in the 70s.. now rated 62
FONTINBRAS .. multiple course winner and now dropped to a mark of 55 ( last win was off 61 )

FRENCH currently trading at 10.5 on Betfair

FONTINBRAS currently trading at 7.6 on Betfair

14.30

Last time Plazon and Captain Lars met there was just over two lengths between them , both are rated 81. Preference is for CAPTAIN LARS whose stable is doing well with its sprinters at the moment , has won over 5f to 1M and his class should see him home

CAPTAIN LARS currently trading at 2.14 on Betfair

15.05

Robot Boy from a stable in form and who has contested better races than this and Foolaad who was impressive over this course last time

ROBOT BOY currently trading at 9.0 on Betfair

FOOLAAD currently trading at 5.5 on Betfair

15.40

Itlaaq mskng his debut at Southwell and not getting any younger but well handicapped and stable in form with s good apprentice on board
Lean on Pete you know what you get with him round here and stable has had a couple of winners

ITLAAQ trading at 14.00 on Betfair

LEAN ON PETE trading at at 5.5 on Betfair

16.10

Open handicap might be a bit of value in the lightly raced Ignacio Zuloaga ( small stable in form )
and the consistant Luath

IGNACIO ZULOAGA trading at 9.2 on Betfair

LUATH trading at 9.6 on Betfair

Leicester 16.20

SHROUGHMORE LASS although gone up in the weights ran well in a competitive handicap last time , back against her own sex and on ground she goes in Relativly unexposed and might not need to improve to win this

Currently trading at 2.6 on Betfair

I decided to have a bit of penny fun with an EW Goliath and added a £1 EW 8 Fold. Used 7 Selections of Happy and had 3 wins and 2 placed, just my own selection still to run.

£6.94 would have returned a shade over £50k with 8 winners but isn't happening this time, close though and a real bit of fun

Cheers Happy

Predictably my own selection helped the field across the line by chasing them all the way

its a tough game John.....its not all about the results though....its the anticipation that gives you the buzz....winners are the cherry on top of the cake eh.
