What a last quarter of the game! Stayed in it just but deserved the draw for me in the last 25 mins. Excellent performance. Although City wasted a number of good opportunities in the final 3rd I don't remember any great chances other than the Sterling one.

Not sure how we kept in the game but.....
It was like attack against defence at the beginning of the second half but gradually grew in to the game. Higher points than normal because this was such a huge point and there were some gigantic performances.

Pope 8 Solid and was it me but was his kicking not better?
Bardsley 7 I thought he was doing well apart from one lapse
Long 8 I'm not his biggest fan but thought he did really well
Mee 8 He was Ben Mee as per
Taylor 9 MOM I thought this was his best game for us. Defended manfully and started to get some decent crosses in
JBG 9 As has been said elsewhere he is now a big player for us. Very well taken goal and always an out for us.
Cork 8 Back to more like his early season form especially in the second half.
Lennon 8 Already looking a good signing and so unlucky not to score but his last minute interception in the box demonstrates the Dyche effect!
Hendrick 7 Forgot he was playing in the first half but like the team grew in to the match
Barnes 8 Front two put a real shift in and deserve 8's for that all day long.
Vokes 8

Lowton 8 Obvs a great cross for the goal that won us the point so has to be an 8

Nice to be feeling good on a Saturday afternoon which has not been the case for a few weeks.
Actually not feeling good. I'm buzzing! Thank you SD. UTC

Pope 7.5 Some great saves , but his kicking is awful
Bardsley 4 rightly hooked, shocking first 45
Long 8 excellent
Mee 7.5 a couple of little slips
Taylor 8 excellent
JBG 8 plus 1 for the goal, far better when switched wings
Cork 7 steady
Lennon 8 could of had 2 goals, great work going in both directions , also miles more effective when swapped sides ( MOM )
Hendrick 6.5 feeling generous
Barnes 7 battled
Vokes 7 battled
Lowton 8 What a 2nd 45, not easy to come in when trailing and against these. Some great blocks, gave us an attacking threat, and WHAT A BALL. Hope that puts him right back in the frame for starts.

Mr Dyche 10 - if that half time sub was tactical then he deserves every ounce if credit possible, we often bemoan the late changes, so it's only fair we praise it when he pulls of a masterstroke, completely changed the game with the sub, then swapping the wingers sides

Must be incredibly hard to play against a side like that with so much of the ball and so much quality but the way they stick at it is immense. Being successful is not all about what you do with the ball.

Pope 7 kicking was awful first half though.
Bardsley 5 not the required standard
Long 8 defended well, but could easily have got a second yellow.
Mee 9 MOM real threat up front and great at the back
Taylor 8 he's a good un isn't he
Lennon 8 very good performance, front and back. A proper asset. Denied a goal by a world class save.
Cork 8 back to his best
Hendrick 8 really good today
Gudmundsson 8 great goal
Barnes 7 he got dominated first half but got into it second
Vokes 8 won a lot in the air, and if we had some pace beyond him could have troubled them even more

Lowton 9 Changed the game. His dynamism and athleticism is streets ahead of Bardsley, and he improved us so much. Why on earth hasn't he been playing?

Pope - 8 - Solid
Bardsley - 5 - Some mistakes nearly cost us another goal
Long - 8 - Some brilliant tackles
Mee - 7 - Good, but thought Long was better
Taylor - 9 - Ward isn't going to have an easy task getting back in the side. Outstanding
Lennon - 8 - Good game and looks really sharp. Unlucky not to score
Cork - 8 - 7 for the first half. 9 for the second. Broke play up well and looked more confident.
Hendrick - 8 - Showed his quality in the second half
JBG - 9* - It was either him or Taylor for MOTM but the goal was the cherry on top. Brilliant passes, runs, dribbles. He has it all
Barnes - 7 - Worked hard but nothing fell for him
Vokes - 8 - Thought he did really well

Lowton - 9 - If KDB did that cross then the world would go mental. He changed the game and is what we were missing going forward

Pope - 7 one cracking save with his chest, made sure with Danilo's 2nd attempt from distance but apart from that he's not had a meaningful save to make

Bardsley- 5 injured early on and it nearly cost us further

Long - 8 first class today, getting better with games. Not often you see aguero that quiet but that's testament to long and

Mee - 8 standard, denied a cracking goal by a cracking save

Taylor - 8 his best game for us, another who is improving with games. Ward has a job to get back in.

Cork - 7 difficult job and he did it very well, as did

Hendrick- 7 so much better in the middle than pushed forward

Lennon - 7 quiet first half but linked up superbly with Lowton after the break, denied by a world class save and defensively late on he was superb

Gudmundsson - 8 involved in more of our goals than anyone else, he's become one of our most important players. Him and Lennon on opposite sides is a hell.of a prospect for us

Barnes - 7 an afternoon of chasing more than anything else

Vokes - 8 superb, won everything in the air, held the ball up well, brought others into play - everything we've missed

Lowton - 9 changed the game, absolutely class ball in for the goal

That was an object lesson in how to play city successfully. First half we just soaked everything up, didn't panic when they scored and bided our time, then took it to them in the last 20. Bar Danilo's worldy they didn't really test pope while ederson produced two of the best saves you'll see this season to win them a point. All that and we were taking them on with a patched up side which only adds to the achievement. In the end, city's keeper has won them a point.

Never underestimate this team.

Pope 7
Bardsley 6
Long 7
Mee 7
Taylor 8
Cork 8
Hendrick 7 Got better as game went on
Lennon 8 (We played better when he went to his correct side and pushed on allowing for space for Lowton to exploit.)
JBG 8 (Similar to Lennon pushed forward when switched allowing Taylor to cross earlier and push on)
Barnes 7
Vokes 8 Got better and better he needs a few games to get up to speed.
Lowton 8 (my mom)

Dyche 10 Tactically spot on he pushed our wide men further on allowing space for Lowton and Taylor and i felt the press by Cork and Hendricks got us a foothold. Sky may say City where sloppy i think in the last 15-20 minutes we pressed them hard and matched there backline with numbers.

We just deservedly drew against the best team in Europe with what was almost our reserve team !!!!!

Pope 8 Nothing wrong
Bardsley 6
Long 8 Never saw Aguero
Mee 7 As above
Taylor 7 Improving every game
JBG 8 Great second half
Hendrick 7 Looked better in CM
Cork 8 Solid
Lennon 7 Shoed flashes of great stuff and was denied a goal by world class save
Barnes 7 Usual hard work
Vokes 7 Won his fair share

Lowton 8 Let Sterling in for miss of the match but otherwise a big improvement on Bardsly

A wonderful afternoon of football.

Pope - 7 - A couple of good saves and his handling under pressure was sure, but in truth he wasn't extended many times by City.

Bardsley - 6 - Thought he stuck to the task pretty well in the first half, and actually for the first 15 minutes he wasn't on the pitch, we missed him. But going forwards he offered relatively little, and Lowton of course offered plenty.

Taylor - 9 - Absolutely superb defensively and that was also his best attacking performance too, with at least 3 excellent deliveries and some excellent interplay with JBG when they linked up on that flank.

Long - 8 - Some refs might have shown him a second yellow for the lunge in the second half, but apart from those two tackles he showed great composure and resilience, and spade loads of determination.

Mee - 9 - Absolutely magnificent defensively, and on another day might have had at least one goal - the header he probably should have guided on target and the save was terrific from his volley.

Cork - 8 - Battled away in midfield, and got us moving forwards at times with some neat passing.

Hendrick - 8 - Slotted into that role neatly, although in truth it wasn't as big a change as some suggested.

Lennon - 7 - Peripheral for about an hour on the left, moved to the right and was transformed into a busy, direct player who appeared to know exactly what was expected of him and whose passing was unexpectedly impressive. Link up with Lowton augurs well for the future.

JBG - 9 - Took his goal wonderfully well - it would have been easy to slot that half volley into the upper tier of the Jimmy Mac - but that was consistent with a brilliant, busy performance. The fact he adapted nicely to the left wing, and appeared to strike up an instant understanding with Taylor, was excellent news because the right clearly suits Lennon better.

Vokes - 8 - Full of running and purpose, held the ball up, pressed willingly and was a real focal point for our attack.

Barnes - 7 - Not as effective as Vokes, but overally the strategy of playing with twin target men and playing football from there worked a treat and he more than played his part.

Lowton - 8 - Had a really torrid first 10 minutes on the pitch when he was caught out 3 or 4 times, but once he got through that he was excellent, particularly going forwards - boy have we missed that sort of cross.

Just a stunning game of football and a sensational performance from a patched up Burnley team. The game started fairly slowly, but like any good drama it built towards a second half which ebbed and flowed frantically as City had us on the ropes before we recovered to throw some punches of our own and as the game built towards its conclusion it became pretty clear that this Burnley team had a real chance of forcing a point and that City were taking their own turn on the ropes. The equaliser when it came was no more than we deserved.

In a sense the sort of performance that brilliantly encapsulated what Dyche's Burnley are about - for long periods we had to hang on for dear life as possibly the best club side this country has ever seen left us chasing shadows, particularly early in the second half, but when we got the ball and got forwards we targeted City's (relative) aerial weakness and we were really productive. Remarkably given the pattern of the game, Nick Pope barely had to make a save of note, whilst Ederson made two outstanding saves.

What a time to be alive.

Not complaining at your ratings claretspice but not too keen on the use of the words 'augurs well' in the Lennon comments. Have you been playing Coyle Bingo?

Outstanding at both ends of the pitch and really turned the game on its head.

Not sure how anyone can give Bardsley a 4 and even 5.He kept Sterling quiet in first half unlike Lowton at beginning.g of second half.Could be agendas coming into play.Lowton eventually sorted himself out and was instrumental in our good attacking play in the last 20 but let’s not hang Bardsley out to dry as he had a good first half. All about opinions I know.

Pope - 8 - commanded his area well and a couple of great stops
Bardsley - 6 - probably an injury, but Lowton was a big improvement
Mee - 8 - immense as usual, but when is he going to score a goal?
Long - 8 - thought he was great today
Taylor 8 - MOM for me, really stood his ground well
JBG - 8 - no in it for periods in the first half, but he took that goal very well
Cork - 8 - fantastic second half
Hendrick - 7 - was quietly effective
Lennon - 7 - looks very tricky, but the last ball/play is sometimes lacking
Barnes - 7 - his usual troublesome self
Vokes -7 - in and out of the game, but some useful contributions
Lowton - 8 - thought he made a real difference, great cross for the goal

Real team performance today, thought the team selection and tactics were perfect. UTC.
