Fans today
Outstanding. Exactly what we needed and why we needed the CFS.
BBC Makes note of it. Not many fans would be so behind a side on such a run.
And a note about how good we were - look who got MOTM!

really strange, it really didn't come across that way on the tv especially in the first half
Re: Fans today
It wasn't just CFS mate, the whole of JHU were none stop in the second half.

You're right, Vegas. All I heard in the first half was the City fans chanting, especially after their goal.

We didn't play like a side struggling for form or appeared short of confidence.
That's because we're not and we're not.

Re: Fans today
I couldn't go today ( early kick off didn't help) but in the second half, because we were still in it, though City should have been further in front, our team still believed and this got through to the fans - they were excellent in the second half and really kept the noise levels up for 45 minutes..a top effort.
I watched it in a pub in Hertfordshire and the neutrals were all with us.
A really good result and showing, especially with all the injuries.

I said to my mate after we scored "the fans got that one"
Relentless in the build up to the goal and that must push you on as a player - the crowd we're into every slip up from City and drove our team on today. We were brilliant on the pitch in the second half - We were brilliant off it !!

Burnley fans are always brilliant. Best in the world. Just thought that in the first half, our support, like our team, were a little overwhelmed.

Cricketfields, you didn't have to get up at 7 a.m. to watch. I'm usually still in La La Land at that time. I need my beauty sleep.
Re: Fans today
Fans were brilliant but what an earth have we done to Sean dyches claret and blue army? The speed was awful even that chant has got messed up.
Re: Fans today
I could not go today, but when the crowd got up you just knew we was going to get something. You could see it with the players they was buzzing off the crowd it made city look beatable that last 25mins.

In all seriousness you could only hear the City fans first half - you could hear us after we scored. I genuinely wonder if they are selective with the effects mics sometimescricketfieldclarets wrote:Vegas and Ontario. Must be a poor reception over the pond.

The celebration for that equaliser was akin to the one for Keane’s against Middlesbrough(remember them?) in the Championship.

In all seriousness turf moor was rocking cfs in particular.you always get the full acoustics when in attendance and there's something to shout about. No most of us were open mouthed in the first half watching this City team move. It was said earlier, when Stirling missed his chance the whole place got a lift. I thought we were superb today against possiblythe best team in Europe.Vegas Claret wrote:In all seriousness you could only hear the City fans first half - you could hear us after we scored. Thought we were quite good considering City had A LOT of the ball. Was easy for some to get on the backs of the players but we stayed in it together as one.

glad to hear that it was rocking then ! It makes a huge difference to the payers - Dyche mentioned the fans in his interview so it must be the effects mics

We've started singing it once each and waiting til someone else has sang it - it's slowly catching on every match til it gets to the back of the stand.CFS wrote:Fans were brilliant but what an earth have we done to Sean dyches claret and blue army? More joining in now though around us and we had it going for decent amounts today..... I think the problem is when everyone tries to sing it every line so get out of breath in seconds.

Was great today, at times I think we don’t make the most of being at home. Hopefully now the longside are singing they can slow the speed down in the cricket field stand

Awesome at times awful at times. When there's some aggression or forward play it gets the fans going.

Any early leavers
Re: Fans today
Now there is a pet hate of mine, EARLY LEAVERS. I have seen all the excuses on here previously regarding business and family needs, but from n early kick off on a Saturday when all these people would have attended a 3pm kick off and still left 10 minutes early for the afore mentioned reasons????? really??? and there was lots in JHU 4 today
Re: Fans today
I think City won the 'battle' today. We sang "where were you when you were sh1t?". They replied "beating you when you were sh1t". Fair play. I would rather we focused our songs on us - we're worth it. Some good Ben Mee song ideas that we really ought to get going. I know it's difficult but we are really supportive of the team and some more creative songs would make us worthy of our incredible team.

Could we get the buckets outside again for donations to sponsor the advertising board to ask the CFS to slow the singing down. If we get extra cash perhaps a plane with a banner?

Re: Fans today
We need to cancel out the speed singers. So stop singing when they speed up and then start again nice and slow when they've got bored and stopped themselves.
The idea of singing alternately could help. Also 4 well spaced claps between the words. This reinforces the tempo.
Finally we need to resurect the concept that NNN doesn't stop after one chorus. It's our loudest and most well known song. Yet we let it stop prematurely just when the noise builds up with people singing "we hate b@stards".
Where did this come from? It's rubbish. We have to sing over it and be persistent.

Not a speed singer at all but at least they try.
