Sky Sunday Supplement
Sky Sunday Supplement
Closing question in today’s show to three journos was Which team they’d pay to go and watch.
Jonathan Liew of the Independent stunned them by answering Burnley.

Yes, he said that he admired the way we played without the ball and that it was great to watch. Said it was like it was choreographed the way we moved/covered as a unit.Dougall wrote:Closing question in today’s show to three journos was Which team they’d pay to go and watch.

It is choreographed, but we have to keep it secret. Let them think we just park the bus, and they won't try and work it out.Leisure wrote:Yes, he said that he admired the way we played without the ball and that it was great to watch. It's the pies wot won it.
Re: Sky Sunday Supplement
The other two sniggered but Jonathan went on to explain that watching the Clarets is like watching choreography -especially without the ball.
It appeared that he was the only one that actually watches the game rather than sit composing another fawning piece about the injustice of the makeweight sides having the nerve to turn up and actually try instead of simply rolling over for the inevitable defeat by the ‘big clubs ‘,

Remember this was the guy who wrote that terrible article to widespread criticism on here:

Shame he wasn't as complimentary with his written words

Re: Sky Sunday Supplement
I think it was the first time Burnley had ever been mentioned on this program.

It's like a game of chess. Some people would prefer all out action with a move every second. Others would prefer to understand the thinking behind each move.
Re: Sky Sunday Supplement
Burnley are increasingly cited as a benchmark for a variety of things football related.

The other two were John Cross (Arsenal fawning "reporter") and Sam Wallace.Dougall wrote:The other two sniggered but Jonathan went on to explain that watching the Clarets is like watching choreography -especially without the ball.

Re Sunday Supplement.. if you could watch ...
Last question asked on SS was if you could watch any other team and have to pay money to do so which would it be
The guy from the independent said Burnley and went on to explain about the choreography of the movement when the team hadn't got the ball.
I think at the moment it would have to be Liverpool under Klopp.
Other teams in the premiership that Ive enjoyed over the years have been
Spurs under Redknapp
Newcastle under Keegan
Arsenal under Wenger ( still enjoy watching them but inconsistant now )
And will watch Napoli tonight .. they are a very good team and a joy to watch under Sarri
What teams would you pay to watch

If you remember he wrote a favorable piece relating to the poetry of our movement before he wrote about us being xenophobic.

Re: Sky Sunday Supplement
We were reading a few months back how our CHs took the posts at about the penalty spot area so that any shots from outside the box went straight down the middle to the keeper. Ash yesterday ran straight out at Danilo, nobody took either side and he bent it into the far side. Work needed this week.Colburn_Claret wrote:It is choreographed, but we have to keep it secret. John Cross is weary, can't see past Arsenal. At least Ollie Holt, when he's on, is a Stockport fan and they don't get a mention.levraiclaret wrote:The other two were John Cross (Arsenal fawning "reporter") and Sam Wallace.
