Relegation shake-up. Yes or no ?
So, with 11 games to go and a 10 point cushion, are we in the relegation shake-up or not?

No. We might have enough points already! Win against Soton takes us out of the equation totally with ever having been in it.

Nah, we'll be alright.
Re: Relegation shake-up. Yes or no ?
Our relegation odds of 500/1 would suggest not.
Any of the pessimists on here should invest £2 to win £1,000 or £20 to collect a massive £10,000,

Re: Relegation shake-up. Yes or no ?
Looking at the current bottom three, they really have some possible hard fixtures coming up.
Southampton have still to play Chelsea and Man City at home but also have Stoke ( who are in the mix) and Bournemouth --these are their only home games because they played West Ham at home when their stadium wasn't ready.
In addition they have to play Arsenal away plus Newcastle, Swansea and West Ham (all who could end up in the mix) and also us, Everton and Leicester.
Stoke have to play Man City and Spurs at home plus Palace (in the mix possibly) and Everton and us.
Away they have to play both Arsenal and Liverpool plus Southampton, Swansea and West Ham (all in the mix?) plus Leicester .
West Brom have to play Liverpool and Spurs at home plus Swansea, Huddersfield (in the mix) and Leicester and us.
Away from home they play Chelsea (tomorrow) and Man Utd plus Newcastle and Palace (in the mix) and Watford and Bournemouth.
We would have to go on a truly horrendous run to be dragged in to the mix. Even our current run of 5 points from 10 games, if repeated (hopefully not) would be enough to better last season!

Re: Relegation shake-up. Yes or no ?
Look at the bottom 4 or 5 teams, they have won 5 or less games all season and there is nothing to suggest that all of them will go on a run where they will win half of their remaking games to get them over the safety threshold.
If anything I'm looking at the Leicester and Everton games as 6 pointers in our battle for 7th

Some of our fans deserve to be following a club in a relegation battle
The club, because it's in the middle of our best season in modern history, is well clear of a relegation battle.
500/1 to get relegated.
Wish everyone would stop talking the club and the manager down.

I think we'll get at least another 8-10 points, so I'd be very surprised if we went down.

Re: Relegation shake-up. Yes or no ?
No we aren't really in the frame but it would be nice to secure safety against Southampton.
Re: Relegation shake-up. Yes or no ?
Don't think so and sincerely hope not.
Ten games ago when we beat Stoke to reach the heady heights of 4th albeit for a short while
I think we were 17 points above the team in 3rd bottom.
Now it's down to 10 points.
So the teams below us have collectively made up some ground but can't see then making up as much or more ground
over the next ten games unless we really go into a major free fall.
Just one win or, if worse comes to worse, 3 draws would more than likely be enough.
Want to be looking forward to the day we win our next one.
Do hope it comes relatively quickly.

Re: Relegation shake-up. Yes or no ?
No but the biggest frustration for me is the lack of goals against the bottom half.
In 8 home games we have scored 7 goals for 17 beautiful points.
In 6 away games we have scored 2 goals for 6 more beautiful points.
Ash and Sam are not PL scorers and I'm yet to be convinced that Chris Wood is the answer.
Thank goodness for our magnificent defence and the system.
Fingers crossed for a great summer window. Improvements are needed.

Re: Relegation shake-up. Yes or no ?
All the bottom teams have either hard fixtures, or fixtures against each other, so no.
Re: Relegation shake-up. Yes or no ?
In our last 10 games we’ve managed 5 points.....So you’d sincerely hope we’d be able to manage at least another 5 points in the next 10 games. Though we are down 8 first team players....which is a little scary! I’ll be far far far far happier when our next win comes along....Sooner rather than later

No, we aren't in the relegation scrap.
But that is exactly why we should be playing the opposite of what we do. We are more or less safe, so go out and play football on the deck and attack teams. play attractive football and get the media drooling over Dyche again. We have nothing to lose.

Re: Relegation shake-up. Yes or no ?
Not a chance. Realistically we need 1 more win. In 11 games, mostly against teams below us in the table.
We're on a poor run at the moment that's undeniable. We have played a lot of 'Big 6' teams on that run it has to be said. Should really have held out for another valuable point on Saturday but we've ridden our luck well on other occasions this season, this time the rub of the green went against us.
I'm sure Sean will be using his one-game-at-a-time mantra just the same as when we are on a good run.

Re: Relegation shake-up. Yes or no ?
11 games left you say?
10 point gap?
There will be some teams that won't get 10 points from their next 11 games so we should be fine as we are. Even if we continued our current form that gap would be 15.

Our home form against weaker sides should keep us in the top 10
