I don’t think anyone believes it’s as straightforward as just offering more cash. The point is that he’s the standard of player we should be doing our utmost to keep and find.

Of course any deal has to be right for both parties but a new three year deal now wouldn’t take him to an age where i’d be concerned.

Is there much difference between wanting someone like Rodriquez to offering Defour a new deal?
