Brian Flynn book signing at the club shop - Thurs. 22nd Feb.

Post by Walesfan1978 » Mon Feb 19, 2018 12:34 pm

Hey!

Brian is going to be at the club shop this Thursday (22nd Feb) between 3pm and 5pm, signing copies of 'Little Wonder' the book I wrote about his life in football.

This message board was extremely helpful for me in gathering information about Brian's two spells as a Burnley player. So thanks once again, and I hope you enjoy the book.

Leon.

Amazon: https://tiny.cc/LittleWonder

It's particularly remarkable what influence Brian Flynn had on identifying potential talent for the Wales international team over the years, including Sam Vokes, of course.

Yep, thanks for posting the link. Available direct from the publisher too: http://www.ashleydrake.cymru/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

As a fan, we had 'Wales is small country, we don't have many players, we shouldn't expect too much' shoved down our throats for years by the Welsh media. Brian's work not only did something about that problem, it also changed the whole mindset of Welsh football. We don't make excuses any more, we proactively look for Welsh-qualified players at a young age and bring them through the age-grade teams.

For me - as much as he was a brilliant player and club manager - Brian's greatest achievement was that he pretty much saved Welsh international football.
