Mighty night for Northwest football
Mighty night for Northwest football
Which game will you be taking in?
Wigan v Man City BBC
Or
Rovers v Bury Sky Sports
Kick off times mean you can catch all of one and the good bits of the other.
Come on you shakers!

Re: Mighty night for Northwest football
I'll flick between the two, Macca.... and Corrie and Eastenders
Re: Mighty night for Northwest football
Refuse to watch rovers.

Re: Mighty night for Northwest football
I've got corrie on series link, don't watch eastenders, so only have the 2 footy matches to navigate.
I'll watch all of the Bury game and flick over at half time and full time for the Wigan game. More interest and things riding on the league one fixture haha.

It's like a reserve game where you can here the players shouting but with a drummer there. Nobody joining in with the cretin.

Is that Lee Hendrie on commentary? Sounds like he's being paid by the word. He never shuts up.

Sounds like Dion Dublin, so probably.

Booed off at half time. In fact when they get a corner the crowd start booing!
Pretty dreadful so far.
Once got my name on the leader board at the black pudding world championships. You have to put your foot on a grid and throw your black pudding at the Yorkshires. Outside the royal Oak, Ramsbottom. Used to be at the corner pin in St Ubbins until it closed.

Looked to catch him shin high and no where near the ball.
Out of control, wreckless and dangerous IMO
Why did Taylor have yellow in his hand first? Must have had 4th official or lino in his ear.
Back to Bury now

Pep was only just saying that refs need to protect all players so he can't complain at the sending off.

I was surprised when he got the yellow out, maybe felt it was red all along and just got wrong card out.

Re: Mighty night for Northwest football
I think it's been suggested on here before but Paul Cook looks like a good fit as a future Burnley manager. Strong character, plays good football and understands Burnley. I can see him stepping up to Prem level seamlessly.

Very poor from ref if he allows him back on the touchline. He really doesn’t like it when things aren’t all going his way.simonclaret wrote:Pep should be in the stands second half for going at the ref like that.

Crap tackle by Delph..asking for trouble.
Will City have more possession in the second half? I guess so.
*The City [near]' Claret and Blue'..
Is that a new thing, or historical?
- can't say I like it much.

Cook should be embarrassed waving imaginary cards around.
He comes across as a bit of a berk on the touch line.
Didn’t seem to be like that as a player.

Re: Mighty night for Northwest football
I dont think the red card was harsh by today's standards (though a fairly routine sort of tackle when I was a lad). It was odd how the ref got out a yellow then changed to a red. Either he took out the wrong card initially or got some advice in his ear (or maybe even something extra was said by Delph). Delph's foot was off the ground and he was lunging in and going through the ball.
I dont see how Pep can reasonably argue about it given all the "players need protection" hype he's come out with recently (though he probably will argue about it).
