Brexit and 21C political policy

Post by Pstotto » Mon Feb 19, 2018 8:25 pm

The unquestioned way of things is that the way for the world to function is economic growth, based on immigration and globalization.

Because England is a small island it is to an extent a good laboratory for civilization.

The whole point of Brexit I think, was to say no to gratuitous immigration and globalization.

How does one build a free society? Surely that is a paradox.

One of the problems with economic growth is that it is symptomatic of freedom of thought and action and democratic life, yet it is destroying the planet.

Sooner or later, the notion of economic growth needs to be addressed, in a world of limited resources.

Brexit is that opportunity, that IS THE REAL POINT OF IT.

The point of the post is about growth culture, not whether England is an island or not. The UK is not an island either, it's an archipeligo.
