Nothing spectacular but just a couple to show I'm still getting out on my walks - the second one from about half an hour ago. When I look at the climbs, I do sometimes wish I lived in the Netherlands or even Norfolk.

But Tony, then you wouldn't get the fantastic views we have on our doorstep, like the photo you have taken.

Yes, but knackered when I get up there. :D :D

I don't think I've ever done as much walking.

Good for keeping your blood sugar in check. I walk "briskly" for an hour every evening and if I miss my blood sugar levels are always higher the following morning. My Dr reckons exercise is as important as medication.
Keep at it!

Sorry for asking a question that has been asked before, but I cannot find the answer; what is the process for uploading an image to this message board? Do you have to upload a picture to an external host first? Thanks

A magpie has built a huge nest in the garden on the edge of a branch, which is very unusual.

There are squirrels around so it looks like the ultimate safe place to build.

However I grew up in Padiham and I've seen that no nest is safe there no matter where.

This nest would be pulled down with a rope or attacked with a 15ft branch from the ground.

There's a huge amount of twigs underneath that didn't make it, I tried myself to build something with them but with no success at all.

Even getting two or three twigs to stay together is difficult.

I think they build with wet wood that can bend, when the weather is worse.

Picked from the side of the track whilst walking my dog and baby a couple of days ago. They're turning a bit so I'll pick some more tomorrow and get a better photo.
