Your photos show just how much good countryside there is around Burnley, Tony.

Imagine living in the centre of, say, Manchester or Liverpool during this lockdown.

Not a patch on yours but I feel blessed to be able to go on walks like this just a few minutes walk from my front door. Sometimes hard to believe I live just two miles from the town centre.

I have done both the Burnley Way, which begins and ends at the Weavers' Triangle, and the Pendle Way, which starts and finishes in Barrowford, and enjoyed every minute of both.

Seeing these pictures really makes me long for the British countryside

Houston is very flat and it's a long drive to see any hills, I don't count the numerous flyovers in that which are the highest spots around for cars and obviously can't walk them. There is some great scenic view a short drive out of town when the Texas wild flower come up but that's just a short duration, usually just rolling farm lands but we have some huge woods and great parks to visit.

However the concept of having trails for walking and public footpaths seems alien in the main and the worse off for the lack of them in the relatively near vicinity of where we live central Houston, as mentioned, same as inside London/Manchester/Liverpool or any other large city.

Please keep the pictures coming, will never tire or looking at them, plus many of them bring back great memories, we have had a timeshare in the lakes for over 30 years and the children have loved going, plus now introducing grandchildren to this beautiful part of the country.

Went for a walk to the local woods in seek of the Narnia trail.

Aslan and the lamp are carved from old trees, think the wardrobe is an MFI job

Still pretty cool with the wooden clothes hanging inside it

Yea its the East Neuk,we are spoilt for chippie's here,but the one you might be referring to is in Anstruther about 5 miles from where i am,its won loads of awards " Best chippie in Scotland" if your ever over this way dont miss it.

Nice one, after your fish supper in Anstruther....you can also pick up some of the finest ice cream next door Jeanetta's having worked in St Andrew's I'm sure you will be aware of it.
