Will Burnley finish in the top 10?
Will Burnley finish in the top 10?
Looking at the final league tables over the last five seasons, a points total of 50 should be good enough for at least 10th place. Is that target achievable for Burnley? So from the remaining 10 games, a total of 13 points is required. I think that's more than possible. I know we have been in 7th position for some time now and you would think that this is the real target (and it should be), but a finish in the top 10 would be superb. Let's not forget where we are in the league. Seventh best team in the country.

Sorry but IMO not a chance. 42 points tops

Failing to get near 42 points is highly unlikely considering we've taken 3 out of the last four matches, without even playing that well.mdd2 wrote:Sorry but IMO not a chance. 42 points tops

I'd take 17th right now because that looks more likely!

Pretty much impossible for us to finish in 17th, unless there is a big collapse in form from the top sides.Dark Cloud wrote:I'd take 17th right now because that looks more likely!

If we need 13 points to get to 50, the teams below us need more.
We always finish strong under SD.

Really ? I was talking to a WBA fan last night, we have no problems in comparison.
We'll start getting - or making our own - luck soon.

We will have to up our game if we want to finish in the top 10. Dyche is setting his stall out for a draw every game with his negative tactics.
Next Saturday against Everton looks likely to be the biggest and most boring game of football this season.
Big Sam and Sean are playing the same tactics and playing not to concede, next Saturday will not be for the faint hearted
