Some players flourish playing for lower league sides.
Paddy Poshboy is an example.Never good enough for us.

Bagged a hat trick with Boro 3-0 up against Leeds. Seems to be settling back into his level again!

Leeds were bloody awful and Don Goodman needs to understand offside before telling us all the last goal should have been disallowed.

First goal was very good, second one was easy...third one looked offside.

Fair play to the lad..he didn't really get much of a look-in while here.

Dyche admitted himself he finds it hard to motivate the kind of player Bamford is.

Needs to work on that side of his management if he wants to manage one of the top six.

Quality player obviously, just needs the right management.

Grammatically correct English should never contain two superlative forms. Therefore `the most` + `...est` is grammatically incorrect. It is becoming a moot point however as the English language, in my opinion, is in decline and being greeted with open arms. When the BBC allows `there isn`t any problems`, `it is going to be more windy tomorrow` and `he has did it again` on TV and radio, then the end is nigh.

Apologies though...too pedantic!

He can manage a complex character such as Barton but not someone who is soft and had everything handed to him on a plate. I can live with that.

I see where you're coming from. But to be be fair it was a quick response to the stupidest post I've read for a long, long time - it deserved no more than a hasty reply and certainly not one where I had to begin to think about my grammatical correctness. So, yes, very pedantic. Your right too point it out though and I should of known better because their are people on here who get to upset.

Mock me all you like, go listen to Bartons Podcast and you'll hear the man say it himself.

Bamford needed a different kind of management. He's a good player but sometimes a boot up the ass works, sometimes it doesn't.

It's called management. Dyche has a similar challenge now with Lennon.

Are you really intimating that Dyche’s Managerial Technique can be boiled down to him kicking Player’s arses?

There was me thinking that it was about treating them like Men and allowing them to demonstrate their own sense of Self Control, Motivation, and Personal Responsibility.

If Dyche failed with Bamford it was more likely that it was because he treated him like a Man, and Patrick was just a Boy at Heart.

No, I was merely saying that Dyche admits himself that his weakness is to motivate players who aren't the type like Barton was to be "fired up".I never mentioned anything about him failing.

You have to work with different characters in football, Bamford has the image to some that he was just being childish but its an assumption based on a back handed press comment. The reality was we have a record of not giving loan players much of a chance in recent years and he is one of them, another would be Chalobah.

If Dyche is mentioning this himself as a weakness, I could see how this would have applied to Bamford, who obviously has a decent player in there somewhere. He knows he has weaknesses and like every great manager if he didn't, he probably wouldn't be so great, but they are there.

Being a manager is about getting the most out of everyone, some players need different treatment from others and it doesn't take much to realise that when he talks about a "different" kind of player in his interview its players like Bamford he is referring too.

He has an interesting one now with Lennon. If he drops him how is he going to deal with his confidence when he has depression? How is he going to be able to get the best out of a player who needs more motivation than some maybe bring themselves.

If you can't manage those kind of players, you won't make it at the top. The big teams are full of them and it takes a good manager to get the most out of them.
