If it's a red card not allowed to give a free kick or penalty. Laws of the game

Surely the bigger question is what the f was Pope doing in their box in the last five minutes when we’re 2-1 up???

Not everyone knows the laws of the game like you rick or had your view possibly, from the vantage point of the jmac lower hadn't a clue what happened.but all goals were good uns, especially the pass to Barnes and his goal.Rick_Muller wrote:You don’t watch a lot of football do you...?

Re: Why no penalty for Williams sending off
Because they haven't introduced that rule yet - maybe next season.
Re: Why no penalty for Williams sending off
You’re all really mean....
It wasn’t a penalty because Williams committed the foul against us, in “our” penalty box
If we’d had been attacking “their” goal and then if Williams had committed the same foul in “their” penalty box....then it would have been a penalty to us....

I began reading this thread and thought it was funny. Everybody was taking it as a joke, but I figured someone would spoil it as they usually do, and get all serious.COYC73 wrote:Oh I’m sorry you didn’t get your chance to take the p.... out of someone who was confused or maybe just a kid asking a question....do you not think they’d feel embarrassed enough...?

Maybe the OP is a student of social engineering and was trying out his first assignment.
It WAS a penalty and it needs to be discussed on Question Time.

Re: Why no penalty for Williams sending off
The OP clearly doesn't know about the F.A.'s experiment.
So it is only fair to tell him.
The F.A. are trying to find out how high a team can finish at the end of the season,
without that team ever having been awarded a penalty. Never mind actually putting the penalty away.
I have stopped even shouting for one, so have the team.
Most of us have worked out what the F.A. are up to.
Does that explain to you, why he wasn't sent off?

This thread works equally well, regardless of whether it’s a wonderfully subtle joke or an honest if spectacular mistake. Good stuff.
Re: Why no penalty for Williams sending off
His second post had me laughing out loud. Intentional or not, absolutely brilliant
Re: Why no penalty for Williams sending off
Below is how I scored on rate the ref. I now realise that I missed an obvious howler and now remark accordingly.
A 23 .......0
B 24........24
C 22........22
D 25........25
Conspiracy theorist proven correct. So blatant a mistake we couldn't believe it and we're stunned into accepting it. That now replaced by anger.
