Three words that sum up their guilt:

'Missing medical records'

I got back on my bike, after a few years of it rusting in the shed, late on last year. I got it fettled at Halfords, where they sorted out the gears, brakes, and put a new chain and crank on for me, and I have been doing a fair bit of late night Cycling between Tod and Burnley and Tod and Hebden Bridge. The roads are a lot quieter at night and, with lights and high vis jacket, I can be seen for hundreds of yards by any motor vehicle that I encounter. There are a few nutters who use the A646 as a racetrack in the evenings, but you can usually hear their over-gunned engines coming quite early and get up onto the pavements, if needed.

However, I decided for the Southampton game that I would bike it from Beamish Towers to the Turf, as the day was bright and dry. Driving on the daytime roads was quite a different experience. The extra traffic was quite a shock to deal with at first, and I really had to be on my guard when passing rows of parked vehicles, as some motorists weren't for giving me all that much time and room. Coming through Civiger(past the Queen) one got the side of his car booted, and I barely had to tale my right foot off the pedal to do so.
I wasn't put off, though. I had intended to come over the same way for the Everton Match, but the snowy weather made biking that route inadvisable. By the time we have the next Afternoon Match at Home, I guess it will be light both there and back.

All well and good Beamish trying to deflect the real story, so, what was that substance you added to your water bottle?

It does explain why he wanted to borrow my inhaler a while ago...

I sit 2 rows behind him and I suspect he knows I have some serious gear for my COPD. I'd better watch out next game in case he wants to borrow my inhaler. He'd be back in Tod for 5.15pm

If some of you are going to be pedants and all round smart at$es correcting the content of other peoples posts, at
least take the time to check your facts.ie it is in fact called vehicle tax.

You know perfectly well what point I was making. I will wait patiently for your opinions
when, as happened to me, a cyclist comes down the inside of you in slow or static traffic, and
scratches your car almost from back to front.

I won't hold my breath though.

How did he manage to do that?

Did he have a screwdriver in this hand or something?

(course if he did do that, then he's totally wrong and should pay for the damage*)

(**hate to ask, but did you leave enough room for a bike to get through?)

How did a thread about possible drug taking by Bradley Wiggins end up about cyclists and car drivers competing against each other?

I thought on him not defending the toure de France at the time was a bit fishy....and so it's come to pass. He was always quick to condemn others to.mo farrahs another dodgy one for me.

If you’d have read the report, it states that Team Sky have NOT cheated. It makes it very clear that TEAM SKY aces within WADA’s required standards at all times.

TEAM GB athletics, swimming, cycling and the winter programme have all been censured for acting unethically in recent years. Skin suits, swim suits and the like were all at one point used and questioned then removed or allowed.

You cannot honestly say that if you could act within the world governing bodies rules to be successful you wouldn’t? If you can answer no to this then you’ve got no chance of success in elite sport.

It happens everyday, warm weather training, sports science, medical intervention (surgery) and recovery. Medical boundaries continue to be pushed. Beckham and Rooney didn’t recover from metatarsal injuries through RICE!!

Just because we don’t understand it doesn’t mean it’s wrong and should be chastised with pitch forks and flaming torches.
This is a very good point. Lot of blurred lines. Elite performers will push the boundaries to get 'the edge.'

If you had checked you would know it’s vehicle excise duty...

Anyway, now it turns out Sir Brad uses questionable tax saving methods too.
