Spurs have been brilliant over the 2 legs....i`m not having it that Poch is anything other than a really good manager. He has got his team playing really well and they are a great team to watch (apart from Debbie Alli !!)

But Juve have some quality players and even though they were outplayed for most of the 2 legs they stay in games because they fight for their lives. They knew that they would get periods of play in both games when they would make chances and they put their chances away not because they were lucky but because they have some of the best forwards in Europe.

Buffon is a legend - what a career he has had. He's made quite a few mistakes in recent years and he's not as agile as he was which is not surprising for a 40 year old. But he is such a big character and big influence on the rest of the team and the whole club that his presence and experience is worth a few bloopers.

As for some people wanting Juve to beat Spurs - so what ? They are not Spurs fans so why not want a great old club like Juve to win ?

I would have liked Spurs to go through personally....but I want Sevilla to knock out United and I want AC Milan to stuff Arsenal tomorrow.
I'm not that bothered about Arsenal but if they progress in Europa they may take their attention away from the Prem and Burnley will have more chance of catching them so win win for us Clarets. As it happens i think over two games Milan will beat them,as for spurs harsh lesson shows the difference between a team of winners and a team who play attractively but don't finish games off.

Just wondering why we have so many Juventus fans on a Burnley forum and the reasons they are Juventus fans.

You've definitely got the wrong chap Jimmy boy.
When you say “so many Juve fans on a Burnley forum” how many have you counted ?

We have Tim who only wanted them because of a bet and a couple of others who wanted Spurs to lose - which does not actually equate to them being “Juve fans” !!

On a related point Juve have one of the biggest worldwide fan bases of any club in the world - though I still don’t think many of them are in Burnley !!

They all work at Enzos and Padrinos.

Spurs were the better side over the 2 legs, Juve showed experience and a ruthlessness. Chiellini is simply heroic. It's a shame an English side crashed out, I wanted to see all 5 get through. At least we're still on for City v Chelsea and Man United v Liverpool in the semis, followed by a City v United final.

I'm not a Juve fan per se, but they are a name that stirs something in most people who grew up in the 90's, Spurs aren't.

That's despite the match fixing scandals.

When it comes to Italian football, I loved Del Piero and Totti so have always had a soft spot for Juve and Roma. I want Milan to get back to the top table as I admire their history. Ronaldo is my favourite player of all time and so I don't mind Inter. I like most of Serie A to be honest.

I don't really see why we should need to justify why we like Juve over any english club. They are our Premier League rivals.

Terrible scenes at the European cup final Juventus v Liverpool sticks in the mind...not pleasant.

I’m too young to remember that (was born in 84) so I don’t know much more than what I’ve read. The 90’s was the time I enjoyed Italian football. It was the best league by far so I have a soft spot for most of their teams.
