Hendrick Over Wood
Surely this puts an end to the starting Wood over Hendrick.
Many people on this board had been calling for it all week after the tremendous display against Everton last Saturday.
Can we now just simply accept that the manager knows much more than any of us about the best way to get points from football matches.
A three nil win away at West Ham is up there amongst our best results in the Premier League. Given that’s it’s timing means we can genuinely start to think about contesting Arsenal for sixth spot.

Re: Hendrick Over Wood
It's not one or the other, it's both.
We do the hard work, have a look at the opposition and then bring about a tactical change which, even if expected, has caused two decent Prem teams to concede five between 'em.

I think it's about time we all shut up on team selection and leave it to the guy that matters.....Dyche..43 points magnificent return ...well done Sean.

Well this is my point. But he gets berated from certain fans who can only see that it is one over the other.evensteadiereddie wrote:It's not one or the other, it's both.
Re: Hendrick Over Wood
Shouldn't be a choice between those two in my opinion. Completely different players.
Wood though is an extremely good striker and too good to be on the bench every week. Think we'll see him as a regular starter soon.

But that's part of what a football messageboard is all about. A part - not all - but a part of.Steve1956 wrote:I think it's about time we all shut up on team selection and leave it to the guy that matters.....Dyche..43 points magnificent return ...well done Sean.

Re: Hendrick Over Wood
I think the problem here is that some of us post what we see as an interesting selection and some just jump on it, assuming we believe we know better than the manager.
This is clearly not the case, it's just a bit of fun, shame some can't see it.
Regarding the 5-4-1 first half, we were lucky and should have conceded a penalty. Doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the selection or tactics, and doesn't mean we wouldn't have won when the fresh Wood came on.

I'm just fed up of the constant abuse Hendrick is getting Frank,he's part of our successes this season,he should be embraced by our support instead of pilloried, like it or not he's played his part.FactualFrank wrote:But that's part of what a football messageboard is all about.
