In all likelihood yes. Because that's usually what happens. If Hart starts another game for England, that's it for me, it's the OFF switch. What's the point? As yesterday proved, he's finished.

In a lower league team?
And then people think we're paranoid/No one likes us.
Wouldn't surprise me if Hart was called up before Pope, DESPITE his howler yesterday. England teams have always been an `old boys` club, managed by men who have been **** scared to drop anyone who plays for a top six team.

Some on here were hailing Southgate as the manager who picks the form players, the manager who will do his own thing, and not pander to the elderly buffoons at the FA, the manager who will give the young players he knows so well a chance. We haven't seen the squad yet, and as I said in the other thread, when the "injured" big names (and those who dropped out due to lack of interest) are back, into the team they will go. I doubt there will be more than one selection that raises the eyebrows.

We either can't, or won't accept that there have been generations of English footballers who haven't been good enough. It would be unimaginable for us to operate like ze Germans, who identified that there were issues, and then took the young and inexperienced to a major championship, to reap the benefits later.

I love Burnley, even when we were shite, nay, more so when we were shite, and I was England daft. But things have changed as time has passed. I STILL love Burnley, but international football I can leave well alone. Football is all a bit "mincy" these days. It's no longer a contact sport, players get "touched" by the opposition and they throw themselves to the floor with a yelp. I actually feel embarrassed by it at times. Thank God our team (Burnley) don't generally use this as a tactic to gain an unfair advantage. (Note to the Barnes haters, I said GENERALLY)

So to my point. When the squad is announced, my phone will notify me. I won't be rushing to check, because experience tells me NOTHING will change. Sure there will be players who ARE big names, and will absolutely deserve to be on the team sheet. But there will be players who are out of form, not playing well, and in some cases NOT EVEN PLAYING AT ALL for their club team, who are nailed on to be there. That (along with the blatant cheating/diving/simulation has got me to the point of not really caring anymore.

I'm fairly confident that Heaton wasn't being considered for England at that time.
A pretty feeble comparison you made there.

If you're implying that I've incorrectly spelt "mourning"... I haven't.

Also people believing everything Chris Boden says, when in fact he seems to get more wrong than right
