Re: Stiff little fingers
Went the year before last (the one filmed for the DVD). Seen them c.12 or 13 times everywhere between Brixton and Inverness. Knocking on, but always brilliant live.

Wow.
No idea they were still going.
But so many of the old 'uns do it, why not them.
Think I've still one of there demo tapes from way back.

Re: Stiff little fingers
One of my favourite bands of all time.
When my son was learning the guitar two of the first songs he learned were Suspect Device and Alternative Ulster.
It brought a tear to my eye listening to a 12 year old boy smashing these out whilst screaming in his mic.
Is Bruce Foxton still playing the Bass with them?

Surprised they have not renamed as arthritic joints and stiff little fingers. They must be knocking on a bit now. Good to see they are still around and playing.

Re: Stiff little fingers
Bruce Foxton plays with From the Jam doing all their old stuff year on year. Seen them in Clitheroe about 7 times now at The Grand. They seem to come around every Dec or so. He did play with SLF for a time though. They are on again this year.

Re: Stiff little fingers
My memory’s gone, so can anyone remember who suppported them at KGH late 70’s early 80’s? I’m sure it was someone who went on to be ‘bigger’.

Re: Stiff little fingers
I am sure I saw Another Pretty Face with SLF at KGH around this time, the frontman was Mike Scott who went on to form the Waterboys a couple of years later. Not sure if this was the occasion you were thinking of, I think it was the Nobodys Heroes tour 1980.Bop wrote:My memory’s gone, so can anyone remember who suppported them at KGH late 70’s early 80’s? Re: Stiff little fingers
Good show last nite, support was “the ruts”, who played a good set.
Seen SLF all over really, and they always put it on a good gig. Ulster hall last year, that was excellent, as was the manchester ritz. Holmfirth always gets a mention so maybe that will be next years weekend away?
Gaz, yeah that was me on the coach to Springsteen. Another top class live act.
