Accrington vs Forest Green

Post by Bfcboyo » Sat Mar 17, 2018 10:12 am

I'm having live footy withdrawl symptoms . Thinking of attending the Accy game today . Would be the first time . Anybody got advice on parking? tickets or pay on gate? prices for adult and concession?
Thanks

You can park easily on the streets just off Whalley Road, loads of space just literally
two minutes walk, across from The Crown pub. Don't know about tickets, though.

Accy Forest Green Burnley Blackburn

Post by cricketfieldclarets » Sat Mar 17, 2018 3:05 pm

Just arrived in the away end for Accy forest... and so have all the blackburn coaches on the way back from Gillingham. Wise idea to wear claret today.

1 nil accy already.

Accrington Stanley

Post by mdd2 » Sat Mar 17, 2018 5:23 pm

Another 3 pts today but just been looking at their fixtures. For some reason they have no game next week but then play 7 matches in April and have some tough games with Mansfield Wycombe and Swindon away and Exeter Lincoln and Notts Co at home.
I hope that intensity of games doesn't cause them to miss out on automatic promotion.

When you're on a good run you want to be playing as much as possible.

Well we were on a good run in 1962 but the pile up of fixtures in March/April cost us the league and maybe the FA Cup.
I imagine Stanley have a small squad which may also affect them. If they go up as champions then I think John Coleman and his staff will have done an amazing job

They've now got an eight point gap between them and
Wycombe in the first playoff place.

I think they'll p!ss automatic, lots of fixtures or not.

Didnt have thata much to do. hes a big lad. Expected him to be better on the ball but it was very windy and bobbly. Was good in the air, positionally and made two excellent last minute tackles. Did t stand out though. Accys right winger was hed and shoulders above everyone else.

Although accy won, Forest Green were the best team for most of it.

Its hard to believe we once played in that league. The standard is so far below the premier league its scary. Its like a different sport. That said much of it seems to be down to the quality of the pitch, the decision making and fitness. Most have them had a very good touch.

It was a damned cold afternoon. The crowd seemed to start thining some way before the end. Forest Green played reasonably well and credit to their fans....about one hundred stood in the away terrace. Those are proper football fans. It's a far cry from having a season ticket for Old Trafford!

Lets hope it keeps going up and up. We were getting 13k plus by this stage in our 4th division championship season.

Accy players probably deserve even more with their performances and circumstances.

Fully agree...though they'll be buggered for Sunderlands visit which looks likely.

Even harder to believe we lost against them last year.

In the 2016/17 season. Its now 2017/18. I meant last season for the pedants. Although Lincoln, a league below them (at the time) was last year.
