I probably do but would much rather you have to walk into countless hairdressers asking if they do perms and then look at your hair thinking you're taking the pi$$

Went to Skeggy a few years ago and they were selling all sorts of joke wig/hats. The orange Jock was a pearler but the best by far was the permed "Scouser plus Tash" - priceless!

The girlfriend at the time (Now the wife of 35 years) decided she liked Kevin Keagan and seeingas she was an apprentice hairdresser asked if she could perm my hair. Besotted as I was with her back then I agreed and had my lovely black hair afro-ized and ended up looking like a complete T**T

We were on holiday a few years ago, probably scarbrough or north Wales, and there was a bloke with the full Scouse outfit. Perm, Tash, liverpool top, shell suit bottoms. I thought he was in fancy dress first night, then realised later in the week he was just a sterotypical scouser.

Something like this.

Some can just about pull it off and look ok if done properly, others look like a shite cheap imitation of a poodle.
They take your socks off you, and rip your jeans though when they've cut your hair in that style it seems...

That's a nice polite way to say they look ****, I'm.going to use that ;)

Curtains were the hair choice in back in my day.

Then bleached hair, sometimes even just the tips of your short back and sides crew cut job.

Now males are going on the sunbed, getting their eye brows done, getting perms and drinking vimto flavoured cider!
Shocking

Remember having a “Charlie Nicholas” at Eddie Worswicks barbers in Clitheroe in the early 80’s. Ranks in the top 3 worst ever of my life decisions. On a recent topic: Had to stay indoors for weeks. Ruled me out of being a casual for a month or so.

I was the first kid in my year at school to grow long hair (i.e. shoulder length). Apart from getting shredded for it by the other kids on a daily basis I remember being kept behind one day by my form tutor who expressed concern and mentioned that "boys can't have hair that long" and that I should consider cutting it. It made me chuckle the other day to think the school would probably never be able to make that statement now, given the debate has been moved on to whether boys should be able to wear dresses! Even more crazy that my run in with the school happened as recently as 2003/4!

My younger brother had a perm when he was 18 and now he is as bald as a chimp's arse. Mind you so am I, so genetics may have had a part to play.
