Could this be a sign that we are thinking of a permanent deal??

Keeps losing the ball.
Not great.
There's a player in there somewhere...

keeps losing the ball but looks dangerous.

With game time he could be great. Looks a little rusty at the moment.

That pass to wood in the first half was great. He should have at least hit the target

He's trying to hard, just needs to keep it simple.

Sadly he's struggling. Far to often loses the ball when the simple pass was there.

If we bag another goal or 2 in this game then his true game will be shown - he's trying harder than he needs to and will come good when calmer.

Had a poor half but seen a lot of the ball. Reminded me a little of some of Brady's earlier games for us. I think with game time there will be a good player in him.

Like others have said, there's certainly a player in there. As a loanee you have to show it all in limited oppertunitys, he's clearly trying too hard!

Needs more practice on crossing a ball.

Off now. Hes worked as hard as anyone and probably had most of the ball. Just panics at the end.

Burnley fans stayed behind him throughout though. Good to see.

I thought he did well, always positive direct and kept trying. End product needs work but there's quality in there.

He's young and hasn't had a great deal of football of late. Hope we stick with him as he clearly has some talent.

Thought GKN showed a bit of class ,very busy ,nice touch good dribbling though was trying too hard, crossing sloppy too, though obviously rusty ,though far better than the basic “ meat and potatoes” fare that JBG serves up.That said JBG adds a bit more steel

Not on that showing
Too lightweight
Too much showboating with step overs and no end result

Interestingly we looked weaker defensively down his side after he came off.

He wa standing WBA players up so they had to float in crosses at best which we swept up nicely. Once he went off they seemed to have more freedom down that side. Their goal also came from his side once off (I know Ward was hurt) but Lennon was concentrating more on the middle of the park rather than out wide which GKN did.

Caught in possession too easily and too fond of the showboat stuff. But he isn't a waster, there was some good stuff in there as well and it was a while since he has played.

He was very sloppy in possession but helped out defensively and clearly needs a run of games. Did appear to be trying too hard as he was running into defenders instead of playing simple passes.

5/10 today thanks to his admirable defensive work but I feel there's much more to come from him.

Sorry, it was because I was only interested in how you summed up his first half performance.
I didn’t think he had a poor first half.
I’m sorry – but is there any need to call me numpty? I’m feeling a real burn.

Some positives to be sure, but his dead ball delivery was poor.

Certainly a work in progress and he's certainly a good option.

But you just have to look at the other wing to how to do it. He could learn a lot from Lennon.

WTF are you talking about ?
JBG has been brilliant for us this season - he is a better player than GKN in every respect.

GKN was a real mixed bag today - crossing was woeful and his decision making terrible at times. Ward was getting frustrated with him.
But it was his first ever Premier League start and he was not scared to look for the ball. He made some good runs and he also worked back in defence very well.

I thought that he had a really good game. Okay, he lost the ball a few times but won it back and dispossessed opponents defensively several times.

Amazed anyone could think he offered more than JBG would have done today. Or that he had a particularly good game.

He had lots of the ball first half - and as importantly, lots of space to exploit. But apart from an excellent pass into Wood, he did very little with it. He was more productive in the second half but even then he made more bad decisions than good.

There's some talent there- some pace, a work rate and a stomach for the fight- but even after 3 years in England he's sushi raw. It will be interesting to see if Dyche fancies the challenge of trying to harness him because I'd be very surprised if Spurs reckon he's got a future there.

Took up some good positions off the left drifting inside, had a hand in the first goal when he kept it simple and made one or two really good contributions defensively inside our own box, an encouraging performance despite the lack of end product which i'm sure will come with more game time.

I wasn't at the game. All I've seen are the two goals from IT's links (thanks, IT).

GKN's pass out to the right wing was the "killer pass" that opened WBA up and led to Ashley Barnes's spectacular goal.

Agree, when GKN first played at Crystal Palace there was an "eagerness and determination to impress." It's got to be hard coming into a team on a loan, when you've not been making your own club's side. Effectively trying to impress to coaches.

And, he is being kept out from more game time by JBG's performances over the past several games. It was JBG that beat Joe Hart from outside the box for Chris Wood to nip in and get our third at West Ham.

Be good to see GKN get some more game time in some of the next few games.

I believe Sean could do something with this guy and maybe something most other managers couldn't do, but it strikes me he's also the sort of player who may well divide opinion among us lot until the cows come home.
