Which striker would you like to have back?
With Jayrod's Baggies doomed, and Austin's Saints in serious trouble it got me thinking would anyone want us to re-sign Jay, Charlie or Danny Ings (who's not getting much game time at Liverpool)

Austin in his pomp
Ings in his pomp ( would suit our system excellently )

In that order

My dad used to tell me how good Tommy Lawton was - probably the first young player we had to sell on.paulus the woodgnome wrote:Tommy Lawton

Of the 3, I'd most like to see Ings back. I know not everyone agrees with that but I think he'd be of most value to us and offer something different to our current forwards. However, I generally think that it's best to look forward so I'd be okay with not having any of them coming back.

It would be interesting to see a Dyche fit Andy Payton (probably younger than we got him) in this team.

Another for Frank Casper.
And could i also have Steve Kindon charging down the wing?
Would be fascinating to see how PL defenders would deal with Skippy.

Austin is the better of the 3 but I'd like Jay back, he'd fit us better and has unfinished business. I think he'd be an asset when fully fit and motivated.
It's strange how you ask a question and give 3 options but the majority of the empty head smart arses come up with a completely different answer....

Re: Which striker would you like to have back?
My empty head is smart arse enough to know that Austin would be 'the best of the 3'. Better being a comparative, i.e. comparing between two. Best is quite simply the superlative form used for any more than two. I'd offer you an empty heads dictionary definition but thought better not,or is that best knot?KRBFC wrote:Austin is the better of the 3 but I'd like Jay back, he'd fit us better and has unfinished business. Yet they will call you for disrupting a thread and rant how you you always ruin threads by going off topicKRBFC wrote:Austin is the better of the 3 but I'd like Jay back, he'd fit us better and has unfinished business. I think he'd be an asset when fully fit and motivated.

We shouldnt take anybody back. We should progress with better talent
Re: Which striker would you like to have back?
Nick Pickering. Realise he's a midfielder but we never did see the best of him and a role further up the pitch could be the catalyst he needs to ignite his career with us.

Re: Which striker would you like to have back?
I think we've moved on now. Our squad, our team, is considerably stronger when any of Jay Rod, Austin, Ings were with us. Two of those three don't play much either because of injuries.
All three were terrific for us, don't think anyone could question that, but we move on.

Danny. Since August 15. 10 apps.
They have all had their injury problems.
