Re: signing players from this seasons relegated prem teams
I'd have a look at Oliver Burke and Redmond.
Potentially Shaqiri and Tadic.
Then cast an eye over their centre backs.
The rest can go somewhere else.

Burke would be a decent signing. Seems inevitable that we will go back for Dawson again.

I like the idea of Rondon. When you consider that Dyche improves virtually all players he could easily be a 10-12 goals a season man for us. I think his form at West Brom is probably more down to their poor team than him. He looked very good 12 months ago.

Shaqiri, Redmond, Ward-Prowse, Dawson (back up) would be the players I’d take

Not Dawson for me, that ship should have sailed........ he had his chance to join a progressing club and chose to sign a new deal with WBA.

Ward-Prowse is a good shout. Young British talent, surely impressed by the number of England internationlas we've had recently. It's no longer a negative, playing for us, in terms of International recognition. JWP seems to fit the bill.
Shaqiri potentially too good for us but what a clever player. I think he's the kind of player we can go for if we get in Europe.

I'd have had him a few seasons ago but not sure he's good enough now. Worse and older than Gudmundsson and Brady. Good dead ball taker though.claptrappers_union wrote:Brunt?
Potentially for depth but might command a significant wage relative to his importance in the squad.

My wildcard choice is Jesé. He impressed me when I saw him for Real Madrid but hasn't featured too much for Stoke.

Re: signing players from this seasons relegated prem teams
Quite a few decent individuals in those teams but they will be picked apart.
Rondon, Shaqiri etc: Players with a few proven seasons of quality and still in form will be highly sought after by the under performing teams with bigger wage bills, Everton, West Ham, Palace.
I've lauded JWP as a signing for a while but his young age and the potential for big re-sale will make him attractive to lots of teams.
If I was Leicester I'd have Shaqiri marked as a Mahrez replacement and bank the rest.
Redmond, Austin(injury worries make others avoid?), Chadli, Brunt, Dawson I could see us being able to get.

It’s pure fantasy, but if Palace were to go down, I’d love to get Zaha up here. I think Dyche would make him an excellent player.

never mind relegated Prem Teams - Deportivo look like going down from La Liga and I'd be in for Emre Colak, really really good player.

Won't all the lads who have been mentioned be on more than our current squad?
Burke is an interesting one, but he's definitely stalled since his cracking start at Forest.

That Jonathan Leko looks good for the future only 18 played for England at all levels won player of the month for premier league 2. Currently on loan at Bristol city where he hasnt did the best with 11 appearances 0 goals but a youngster with a bit off experience with 27 professional appearances. cant imagine we'd pay ridiculous for him

Not from the prem but when Brighton tried signing wigans Nick Powell in Jan I found it strange but watching him since then he looks a decent player who could step up in the hendrick role.

I suspect Powell has found his level outside of the PL.CFS wrote:Not from the prem but when Brighton tried signing wigans Nick Powell in Jan I found it strange but watching him since then he looks a decent player who could step up in the hendrick role.
I'm sure I heard something about his attitude towards training being a bit suspect a few years ago.
He looked a cracking player in his first loan spell at Wigan then his career stalled after two other loan spells.
That UTD move wasn't a good one for him in hindsight.
He needs to do something more I suspect to get a look in here.

Re: signing players from this seasons relegated prem teams
With Powell, the drop down the leagues may be the wake up he needs to apply himself before becoming one of many wasted talents. Either that or he is a league one player. That said, don't think he offers more than Hendrick from his experience at a higher level to date.
From the current bottom three:
Redmond and Gabiaddini would be a good shout from Southampton, especially if we get in the europa league. Along with possibly Ward Prowse. Some good players there but didnt work under Pellegrino and be surpsised if it does under Hughes. None of them seem like particularly troublesome players.
WBA Rondon is about it.
Stoke probably only Allen and Shaqiri. And despite what some will say, he is a grafter who has unbelievable talent. I would have fancied Martins Indi but god knows whats happened with him.

Pretty much echo the above. Shaquiri, Rondon and Allen. Gabbiadini as well if only because he is a natural finisher but not necessarily a Dyche type player.

Re: signing players from this seasons relegated prem teams
It's hard to choose players that would be happy with being paid at most £40,000 a week. I'm sure many who will get relegated will be on more than twice that.
So many good players though.
Dawson - great versatility and replacement for Bardsley.
Hernandez - very good goalscorer even if we mainly use him as an impact sub.
Lanzini - a proper number 10 to compete with Hendrick.
Soares - replacement for Bardsley
Antonio
McArthur
Milivojević
Townsend
Zaha
Redmond
Puncheon - versatility in attack
Fer
Dyer
Mooy
Shaqiri
Ireland (another Hendrick competitor, possibly)
Hogg (dyche favourite)
I'm sure there's lots more too. Doubt we can afford most of those though.

James Ward-Prowse would be an excelling signing IMO. He comes across as a Dyche player. Brilliant at set-pieces and he'll have seen the progress Dyche has made with our current English players.

Also bear in mind Mr Dyches knack for paying not a lot for an under performing player, he could be plotting to nick a few lesser thought of players.

Re: signing players from this seasons relegated prem teams
Most of those players mentioned are probably already outside of our wage structure, not because of their talent but because of other Club's stupidity.
Charlie Austin was an absolute legend in the making and our best goal scorer in decades but he really is too prone to injury. Shaquiri as talented as he is would upset the status quo.
Ward-Prouse looks London bound for no other reason than he is from the south coast.
I can see Redmond at Wolves on a very large salary.
I'll go with not losing any of our main squad and trusting the board to get 2 or 3 of Dyches targets in.

Dawson would be worth a look without a doubt. I think he'd fit into our ethos really well. Oliver Burke as our 4th choice winger behind Brady, JBG and Lennon?
Shaquiri would be phenomenal if Dyche can get the best out of him; the guy has genuine quality and could play on either wing or even as the number 10 at a push. Can't see us paying his wages though - he'll be on a lot of money!! We might be able to tempt him with Europa League football though. I'm not sure Joe Allen would be an upgrade on anything we already have.
I'm not sure there's anyone at Southampton I'd take. Redmond would be good, Gabbiadini maybe? James Ward-Prowse will move somewhere bigger than us. He's a very good prospect. Other than that I'm struggling! None of there players appear to have any heart and that's something Dyche wants at the very least.

Ive been impressed with the young man Kennedy at Newcastle. I know he’s on loan there from Chelsea but cant see him realistically playing for them.

I thought Shaquiri was a disgrace at times for Stoke at Arsenal on Sunday. Constantly waving his arms about telling everyone else what they were doing wrong. At one point he gave a simple ball away stood still then fell out with Diouf because he closed the man down who Shaquiri should have actually chased down, who then passed to the Arsenal man now in acres of space where Diouf should really have stayed and covered.
Wouldn’t have the obnoxious little tw@ anywhere near our place.

Not sure there are so many from these teams we should take. Maybe the odd one. I'd prefer someone with something to prove and who wants to seize the chance like Charlie Taylor not some failed has been on stupid money.
