Venkys will still be in charge next Season, and you will still be in Burnley’s shadow, whatever happens this Season.

That's good.

A mate of mine told me, last week, Rovers were doing well in League One. I'm a little ashamed to admit it, but I was quite pleased to hear they were still going.

6 points over Easter at this stage is massive. Anything other than promotion was failure.

But you've baught the league again haven't you, you can't ( or should i say shouldn't ) spend what you have on the gates you get, with the debt you have.

But as the above poster said, you will still be massively in our shadow , and still the laughing stock of Lancashire.

You'll do well to avoid a relegation battle next season with Europa league. Its a poisoned chalace.

Is it too much to hope for Rovers to blow automatic promotion then lose in the play offs to the team that finished sixth and around 20 points behind them?

Devilment dictates I hope they cock it up, that Shrewsbury can sneak 2nd and Wovers fail gloriously in the Play-offs to seal another season in League1. Other than that I can't say I've thought too much about Wovers if I'm being honest.

As far as I'm aware, demonstrations were about inept running of the club, interference, poor managerial choices and not fully backing the manager..

This season, something has changed..

just watched the Wigan game and it has to be said, putting the Rovers rivalry aside, the standard was shockingly poor.

There must be some sort of sado-masochistic tendencies being displayed for a Rovers fan to come on a Burnley board and gloat about being top of League 1, when his team's main rivals are jostling with Arsenal for European qualification.

Today I spoke to a Rovers supporter here in MK and told him it hurts me to say it but I hope they beat Milton Keynes.

Yes I should wash my mouth out but I despise Mk and always want them to lose and hope they get relegated

"This season, something has changed"
Yeah..you're playing in a league which is widely acknowledged as being of a truly abysmal standard.Oh , and your losses and debts to your chums the Venkys have both increased.

What hasn't changed is that you are a busted flush of a football club forced to confront at leisure the fact that your "buy it don't build it" approach was only ever going to create artificial and short-term on-field success.

I believe strongly in the addidge 'form(Burnley) is temporary, class(rovers) is permanent. Eventually the cream will rise back to the top..

You do know who our manager is, don't you?

However if you're correct, I'd be rather fighting a relegation battle in the PREMIER LEAGUE whilst representing the country across Europe, than fighting a relegation scrap in the championship, whilst still being the laughing stock of Lancashire, and still massively in your biggest rivals shadow.

I believe strongly that if you can't spell adage correctly the chances of you understanding form and class correctly are virtually nil.

Even after all this, the Rovers fans still think that "cream rises to the top".

It does. Tony Mowbray is a very good manager for the level you are at now. The players you have are very good for the level you are at now.

You'd have to be smacked off your tits to think that means that you are going to be 7th in the premier league anytime soon, or even 7th in the championship.

You have turned a corner, but the gap is so wide now we are practically out of sight.*

*might not last, but this gap is a big and looks as unsurmountable as it was when we were in Div 3 and you were in the prem.

Trouble is, you've got it the wrong way round. You had the form in the mid 90s, and you've been utter turd since. You've fallen to your natural level, and we've risen to ours.

That you're in a promotion battle with Shrewsbury says it all.

This is the big difference between us and you, and one of the big reasons why we swapped positions.

We never, ever, ever forget who our rivals are, and we will never, ever, ever have to invent one with the biggest club in the world.

We know who we are and where we are. You lot have never got that, and don't understand it. Still your fans think its a conspiracy that you got relegated from the premier league.

The prem has been crap this season. A low points tally has you in 7th, whereby most seasons, you'd be about 10th-14th..

Looking at the fixtures. I still think Rovers will bottle it and lose to Plymouth in the play-offs. Which will trigger the El Classico derby of Accrington Stanley versus their smaller neighbours in League 1 for 2018/19.

I know you are not all there Saxo, but the gap is as big as it was when the roles where reversed.

I know it, you know it, the whole football world knows it.

Deal with it, we had to. Its actually better to deal with stuff like this then lie to yourself.

They absolutely must get promoted this season or their wage bill will need to be chopped right down.

The league can and will hand them an embargo or fines etc.
