You just can't write them off, that's how incredible they have been under Pep. Hopefully City get an early goal, it will set up for a fantastic game to watch as a neutral.

Reminds me us V spurs in the cup, I think City will be almost over the line and Liverpool snatch a late winner.

Hope City's fans return the favour to the scousers' team bus.

Not beyond the realms of possibility that City go 2 up quickly - if that happens then the 22/1 becomes about 4/1... so 22's well worth a £5

The match should've been called off when the scousers attacked the team bus, definitely played a part.

All the talk in the office today is that City will get the 3 goals minimum, but expecting a couple of away goals from Liverpool.

Full time City 4-2 Liverpool (Liverpool 5-4 on agg)

Potentially could be as mental as the Barcelona-PSG 2nd leg last year.

But if Liverpool turn up with their "A" game, I just can't see them not going through.

Should be a cracker though

Not condoning the bus attack whatsoever but not sure it had any impact on the game / result.

Liverpool did the same thing to City in the league - the final score flattered City who got a couple of very late goals. City stuffed Liverpool at their ground only after Mane had been sent off. In the previous fixture at the Ethiad Liverpool again give City a good thumping.

Man City might turn this around but hard to see how they stop Liverpool from scoring which means they will need to score 5.

Would not be surprised to see a 4-2 or 3-2 win for City.

Don't think it will be goalless !

Did you not see them at Everton?

Put a left footed full back on Salah and don't let him cut inside. Would sort Liverpool out in a jiffy.

If Raheem Stirling fluffs his lines again like he did against United, the scousers may not need to score.

City will need at least 5 to go through. Liverpool are too good up top to not cause problems and score. At least once. Im going 1-3 Liverpool.

22 minutes.

That's apparently the number of minutes that City will have to score their first goal if they're to come back and win, based off previous comebacks in history.

I would say that Liverpool will park the bus, but if they do that it'll probably be set on fire.

If they dont score in 10mins it over. City will have the ball for long periods. Aguero will drop deeper and deeper. More than 30yds out he offers very little. The likes of D Silva, De Bryunes, Kompany, Otamendis heads will go. Walker going more and more forward. Liverpool will pick them off. Im not the biggest fan of Henderson but his calmness in these games is superb.

I'd say the 22 minutes seems just right. If City are 1-0 up after 22 minutes, that still leaves more than an hour of football to score 2 goals. It's doable, but unlikely because if Salah starts, you've got to fancy him to score, meaning City no longer need 3 goals to take it to extra time - they need 5.

If Liverpool score it can't go to extra time and it's unlikely to be 5-1 so Liverpool to progress for me.

I'm sure it was discussed prior to the first leg that City had drawn the one team likely to give them problems.

Not condoning what happened but if even Man City's captain does not see it as a factor, it does maks me think that the reaction is a bit overblown. See below.

“The bus incident had no effect on us,” Vincent Kompany said. “Not really. We have experienced that before.” Kevin De Bruyne agreed with his captain. “It was OK,” he said. “I don’t mind supporters doing that – I’ve had it a couple of times for my team and it’s a nice feeling. Breaking windows is probably not done but who am I to say something? I am fine with it as long as no one gets hurt. It doesn’t change anything [for the players].

My tip is 2-2 as it goes with Liverpool getting a last minute equaliser.

They don't strike me as players who would make excuses and open up a can of worms by telling the entire world how to beat them.

I think you should just take it as read. I do not know much about De Bruyne but Kompany seems an absolute honest and decent bloke who tells it like it is. The other factors here are that the press likes to sensationalise things and whip things up as it sells papers. Maybe it really was not that bad. Also, both players will have seen similar with their previous clubs and will possibly not have been phased by it.

Yeah but you have to understand that people simply can't tell the truth in public interviews under certain circumstances. Like when players claim they're behind a manager and playing for him but soon as he's gone they start winning again or like when managers say they have no interest in leaving to the media but as soon as they arrive home they're packing bags to leave.

The game was over at half time thanks to a very dodgy ref. Had it been 2-0 City, as it should have been, and possibly 1 or 2 penalties the 2 nd half would have been very different.

Ederson should have been sent off. It wasn't exactly gbh but you can’t raise you hands like that.

Wow you really want him to fail to bang your drum on here  how embarrassing, the referee ruined the tie by disallowing a goal that would've made City heavy favourites. They didn't need help from the referee, they just needed him to do his job which he failed to do.

I'm not after him to fail, just when I see people saying the ref stopped City winnjng, it's odd.

City have enough about them to win any game, they were apparently out done.

Every Pep topic you're telling us all about how s**t Pep is and how he's a failure. The referee didn't stop them from winning but the disallowed goal completely changed the tie, clearly you don't think a wrongly disallowed goal before HT affected anything.

I haven't said he's shite, nor a failure.

Try reading for once and understanding the question you're asked.

Or just have a tantrum about it and look a prick, which you prefer.

Pep has failed to win a CL away from Barcelona, is that because he can't do it without the best team on the planet?
