Two days of belting weather so far so the grounds should be dry by tonight.

Would that be kholi, the groundsman's new assistant, and buttler the new apprentice barman, who both happen to play a bit of cricket as well in their spare time?

Padiham this morning. Wicket for the 2nd X1.

I think it's safe to say we shall see cricket this weekend.

Get down to your local club and enjoy a beer in the sunshine.

Don't joke about it, I retired 4 years ago but still get phonecalls every week trying to get me to play.

With football matches getting called off last week and only two days sunshine I would expect the wicket to be as green as the square.

Re-laid the square this winter and weather not been kind. Over 100k spent on it which was well needed.

I'm always puzzled why clubs never do half the square at a time in summer?

Just camera image. The grass on the square might of been kept a little longer for the time of year though.

A train / tram journey to Milnrow tomorrow, weather permitting. Forecast a bit poor for the morning.

Milnrow's new pro Hornbuckle was in fine fettle yesterday sub pro'ing for Padiham.
Made very light work of chasing 106 down with 68 n.o

An old Lowerhouse stalwart Matt Hope got a few wickets for Feniscowles.
