I'm not writing him off at all just think the last two games we have seen far better central defenders at the Turf.

He playing for England and brilliant for us.

It not a moan not at the races and Chelsea being very good.

Tell you what, Hazard thinks he's a player but he hasn't got very far since coming on. Runs around like a headless chicken and loses the ball every time, lol.

Strange game that. Almost like we just let Chelsea win.

Of course, it's Chelsea, fantastic team and we are allowed an off day, doesn't change the weirdness of our performance. Just lethargic and no real effort it seemed.

Oh well.

Stoke next.

Poor performance but let's not kid ourselves...Chelsea are not a bad side and they were solid today. We weren't at our best and couldn't find a way through. We've had a great run and a tremendous season. We'll be better next time round.

I think we should sack dyche and make the 'entire ground' joint managers. We'd need to invest in a bigger room for press conferences but at least we might see a bit if progression. Depressing times to be a claret is this.....

Honestly, 7th is pretty much guaranteed anyway. I know Dyche won't be saying that but Leicester have Palace away, West Ham at home, Arsenal at home and Spurs away. They're not making an 8 point gap up.

I couldn't disagree more. We were looking much better until he came on and ran us ragged. Head and shoulders the best player on show. Superb

No problem. For the record, I think he's an excellent player. But he did (for a fact) try and do it all himself at least 2-3 occasions and lose the ball as a result.

Chelsea made us look poor as we've made teams look poor before.

Still 4-4 on aggregate but we win on away goal rule.

Could not agree any more. Beyond embarassing.

We narrowly lost to last years champions.

When i first started following burnley we were getting hammered by wycombe wanderers away.

We weren't at the races but I thought Chelsea were very good tonight. Tarks had his worst night in a Burnley shirt for me. Hey ho we had an off night. Thankfully the many fantastic performances throughout the season means it's not a problem. Bring on Stoke

Minus one poster who has been well OTT with his comments (though he's entitled to his opinions), I don't see anything embarrassing here. Most people acknowledge that we were poor and Chelsea were good. No problem :)

Poor performance tonight, two that stood out as well below par were Tarks & Lennon for me, with Wood very quiet too.

It's disappointing watching a performance like that as we all know how we are capable of playing.

Need to play more positive on Sunday.

Look not our night we need to move on .
So from a very dark Galway evening i think of Steve Young ( Canada Claret ) who i wish was still around on these threads but there you go life is only short . We live for now as the Clarets and their fans will live forever in the passage of time in script, for us on here as we only have a short space in history of this great club .
Night everyone see you soon .

I do wish we could have won tonight for Steve. However, we can take comfort that he left knowing that Burnley is in a great position and in very good hands. UTCC.

Finally home at 3sm. Roads closed everywhere and massive diversion.

Thought we tried too hard to play football tonight! Gudmundsson was excellent. The winning run had to end at some stage, so only a couple of days off and then the lads .ca put it right

Just like a Euro test run!

My mistake I thought that was in The Haribo Starmix semi final (extra time before the away goals count).
