Re: Marney to Forest
A bit too young to be him I'd say.
I wonder if he coloured in between the lines?

I know Karanka's a bit of a baby but I don't think that's him.

Why's it only the bloke with the sunglasses on that looks like he's caught in the wind?

Re: Marney to Forest
Well just in case it is....
Get the deal sorted early, barring a couple of minor issues that remain pending, then at the last minute, when it becomes apparent they have no plan B, pull the plug and start Marney in the first PL game of the season, where he scores a hat trick away at Man City.

Re: Marney to Forest
I assume a fee had already been agreed in advance? Or do we just need to give the player permission and it's all then above board? Curious to know how it works.

Re: Marney to Forest
So does that mean he's free to speak to other clubs? Do you know how long in advance of a contract expiring a player can speak to other clubs?Walton wrote:He's out of contract in 2 months

Re: Marney to Forest
Free to speak to any club from January and a player coming out of contract at a club can sign a pre-contract with any non-English clubIndigoLake wrote:So does that mean he's free to speak to other clubs? Do you know how long in advance of a contract expiring a player can speak to other clubs?

Re: Marney to Forest
Officially hes only allowed to agree a deal with a foreign club. But id hope we wouldnt begrudge our player the chance of securing his future if hes not part of ours.IndigoLake wrote:So does that mean he's free to speak to other clubs? Yeah I'm sure we all want the best for Marney. I just saw Karanka and instantly assumed corruption, lol. I'm sure it's all legit.cricketfieldclarets wrote:Officially hes only allowed to agree a deal with a foreign club. Re: Marney to Forest
He nearly signed for Forest in January as part of a player plus cash deal with one of there’s coming to us but it fell through at the last minute due to him picking up an injury. Shame really, he deserves first team football.

Wasn't there one of these around the time Danny Ings left that turned out to be photoshopped?

Re: Marney to Forest
Well, if he does end up going, I hope he gets a big send off from the fans because he is one player who has always given everything for Burnley and has been a massive part of the success this past few seasons. Would be a very good move for Forest.
