Ben Heap passed 5000 Lancashire League runs when he reached 134. Congratulations to him.

Re: Lancashire League - 22nd April
That's a good effort on what can't be the easiest wicket to bat on given it is April - or - are Milnrow not much good?

Rawtenstall lost by 9 wickets to Clitheroe. Sounds like a very professional performance from the champions.

Cashing in on a weak Rawtenstall showing. Pound for pound, they performed better, and seemed to be right on the money from the start.Claret1205 wrote:Rawtenstall lost by 9 wickets to Clitheroe. Sounds like a very professional performance from the champions.

East Lancs v Haslingden was a victim of the weather with no play possible.

Rawtenstall will of had the advantage of their new professional Keegan Petersen already having played a season at Read and knowing the wickets.Lord Rothbury wrote:But Clitheroe can transfer their game to Read. Stinks.

In what sense?Lord Rothbury wrote:But Clitheroe can transfer their game to Read. Stinks.
Approval to play away from Chatburn Rd was the only sensible option for the League to make.
I can't imagine that any club would have objected to this - indeed it means that they have less "home" matches.
It was by far the most sensible option given that they couldn't reverse fixtures as in the past.
