How annoying...

Post by No Ney Never » Tue Apr 24, 2018 5:33 pm

Waiting for someone to open a document on their computer and they're pi55ing about with the mouse, up and down, across and back again, trying to remember which folder it's in. They then proceed to open and close several folders and I'm standing there thinking 'well it's obviously not going to be in there ffs' as they open and close all the ones least likely to have it. Eventually they click on the folder even I could see as the most likely starting point for what we're after. Arrrggghhh! It could be partly my fault, I'm too polite to say out loud "do you know what you're doing, give me the mouse, can't stand here all day while you f##k about.
Does this just happen to me? Am I the only one who works with some proper retards? It's not as if computers have only just arrived in the work place.

There's a couple of bottles of San Miguel in the fridge for when I get home.

To be on the safe side, I'd get a few more on your way home if I were you.

I’m a control freak as well and can sympathise with this.

What gets my goat is when you have some psyched up coke head going at 200 mile an hour at work stood over your shoulder tapping his feet and drumming his fingers on your desk whilst pressuring me to work at his pace because he’s got no life outside of work...

:D

I'm the exact opposite, generally very relaxed and patient. It's not about speed but organisation, people who have been using a system for at least 10 years still operating like it's the first week. I prefer less speed and more haste to achieve right first time, but there are just some people totally incapable or incompetent.

I always thought the saying was "less haste, more speed" inferring that the less you manically rush at a task the more speed you'll have in completing it ;)

I had an auntie who used to make home made fudge - it was delicious.

What's the point?

There isn't one - a bit like this thread really.
