Bruno took the game to Lewis but that’s it still got stomped on the 7th. Bruno also hurt Tyson aswell.

As a side note the post Rahman Lewis was and still is the best ever heavyweight there has been bar none. He had everything.

the best ever?

i think not.

Yes he’s bigger than George foreman with a much longer reach ( very good tool in boxing ) and a much better skill set.

he was bigger but my point is that big, powerful heavyweights aren't necessarily the best.

i think you would struggle to get many people to agree with you that lewis is the all time greatest.

Gutted for Haye.

He just doesn't have it anymore sadly.

But fair play to Bellew, tactically spot on and was the superior fighter.

Be able to blow Bellew out early.

A prime and fit David Haye stops any of today’s heavyweights inside 3 the key factor being fit.

Being someone who’s watched every top fight in the country for the last 10 years Live (friends in places) it always makes me laugh this forum.

I said to my dad at ring side, i always believed Tony would do it again, but I was worried about his mental strength..tonight he proved he’s up there with the best! Is he as good as Haye?.... No .....is he as good as Holyfield No!

You’ve got a great tactical boxer, & despite being scouse (I despise them) a top human being!

I hope he hangs the gloves up, there’s nothing left to prove to anyone! Andre Ward? Why not... personally I’d leave it alone, but we’ve all said that before..,...

So are you agreeing with ClaretMoffitt or not? You started off saying you didn't and ended up going on about something completely different.

Why should he hang up his gloves? surely he'll want to leave a legacy, if he beats Andre Ward he'll cement himself in the talking with the greats at Cruiser/LHW. You say Bellew proved he's up there with the best but then say he's not as good as Haye, does that mean you consider Haye the best? Andre Ward could step up from LHW and smoke Bellew and Haye in the same night.

He’s not as good as Haye was in his prime at Cruiser, not many are though.... if he fights one of the greatest P4P of all time, I just feel he comes up short so would prefer him to go out as a world champion & on the back of beating one of the cruiser divisions greats twice!

He absolutely comes up short against Ward, everybody does but it would be interesting with the weight, Bellew is much bigger and Ward has been retired for a while.

Andre Ward is past his best now. Very awkward defensive fighter who was excellent at what he did but not sure how he would do getting in with heavier guys - personally I think he’d quickly ruin his reputation as very very good champion.

As for the best heavyweight of all time - of course it’s open to all kinds of opinions....some a bit more educated than others though.

In terms of “eras” of heavyweight boxing the last 15 years or so at least is probably one of the worst in history. The main reason being the lack of Americans - it’s been proven that far fewer are deciding to go into boxing and are instead pushed into American football where the odds of them making it are far greater.

This era of heavyweights is a million miles behind the Ali era for example - and also a long way behind the likes of Tyson, Lewis etc. The likes of George Foreman could beat Fury, AJ, Haye and TB all in the same ring !

I don’t think Tyson is the best of all time - personally I do think it’s Ali with the likes of Dempsey, Louis, Marciano, Foreman and Frazier up there. Evander Holyfield and Larry Holmes would also be in the top ten - with maybe Lewis but also with Tyson. Tyson did not just fight bums - he beat everyone and he was an animal in the ring. A savage - and a bit like Marciano actually. He only started to get beat when he got the demons with money, drugs, women etc.

None of today’s fighters would be in the top 50 let alone get anywhere near some of these guys. And don’t even get me started on AUDREY Harrison !!
