Re: New kit
I'd be happy with that design even though, according to the Banished Brexiteer, grown men shouldn't be interested in replica shirts....
Re: New kit
Would the yellow be claret for home and blue for away ?
Re: New kit
Away kit is black !

New Dundee kit revealed:

If our new supposed 'black' kit is anything like this then I won't be too upset - looks nice

Re: New kit
I think our new kit will be more Dundee than Dortmund.
Noticed Everton played in their next years kit in their last home yesterday.
I remember a time when we use to do that - or at least preview it at the game

Really? I’ll be honest I’ve only seen them in white and always assumed the orange was their “2nd colour”

It was Eric Morecambe who changed the colours to orange and blue, when he was a director there. He said white and black was ‘too boring’.

Remember they had a brief spell in the (old) First Division in the mid-1970s, came up with Carlisle I think, when they wore orange and blue but other than that thought they generally played in white and blue/black.

I wouldn’t call that alternating tbh
And I’ve not had cause to take much notice of them since 2009 when they changed to orange

Re: New kit
I'd love to see us partner with Umbro when our current deal with Puma expires. The 79-80 shirt is something special.

Probably one of the few things a fan can complain about when you support Man City- 1st world problems... it’s not blue enough... it’s not fitting of a title winning team.. its too bland from a sky blue strip...
Man City fans shouldn’t care about the kit.

Re: New kit
City played in their new kit last night
As four ours,
I would assume the home kit will be claret and blue, but heard the away kit is black and there will be a third kit which is white.
As for the Dortmund shirt at the top of the thread. Don't they have a bespoke kit? For clues on ours, Leicester and Wolves are usually the first to go with the generic designs so worth keeping an eye on those two clubs.

As shown, Leicester have moved to Adidas and so have Wolves. Puma have also lost Huddersfield who have changed to Umbro.

Is the white kit this season’s carried as we did with the blue and yellow ones previously or will it be a new design?ClaretTony wrote:City played in their new kit last night

Re: New kit
I dont know what in particular, but the Nike kits always seem to be spot on for me. Its a shame that we are with Puma and Dafa in what could be our most lucrative season, but in for a penny in for a pound and all that.

The Luton and Dundee kits are on this seasons template. We should now be on the next template so more Arsenal and Dortmund than football league.

Re: New kit
What is the value to our club in £'s by having our kit supplied by the likes of puma, Nike, addidas, etc as opposed to a 'unknown' company?
If Daftobet are going to stump up £ X millions to have their name on our shirt, what are we getting off puma for displaying their name / logo on it?
Can't say I've seen many Burnley shirts in any sports shops outside the Burnley area, so what channels of distribution are opened as a result of a tie up with one of these well known brands and how much are we benefiting from it?
Can't tell me that in today's global market place we are unable to design our own and source a manufacturer who would be able to deliver on time and to an acceptable cost.

You won’t see Burnley shirts in any sports shops inside the Burnley area other than the club shop, never mind outside the Burnley area.

Re: New kit
We're not on the top tier of the Puma deals, we're with Genesis Sports rather than direct with Puma. It's not that unusual, Umbro stuff goes through these guys https://www.gldgroup.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for instance. No Ney Never wrote:What is the value to our club in £'s by having our kit supplied by the likes of puma, Nike, addidas, etc as opposed to a 'unknown' company?

I don't know about Genesis in particular but I've worked with a few other suppliers and the deal generally works that the club will get an upfront payment from Genesis/Puma plus a set amount of replica kits and matchday kit (how many depends on how well we negotiate).
Generally, if a certain number of shirts are sold the club will start receiving royalties on any further sales. Clubs can usually purchase shirts, etc at a "best price" (i.e. lower than other shops). In Burnley's case I imagine we have a slightly weird deal as the shirts don't get sold to anywhere other than the club shop so there is no point in having a royalty on the sales.
Given our increased coverage it may be time for the club to be a bit less insular and allow the shirts to be sold in channels other than the official club shop.
