He's been exceptional but Ben Mee should be on commission...

yet he didn't make EA's PL team of the season, 23 other players ahead of him. A disgrace really

How was the team arrived at?

Fans?
A panel of experts?
Journalists?
Players?

I'm asking out of curiosity rather than challenging you.

I realize it's possible for me to do my own research but I thought just asking you is the better action to take.

List must have been made by a Burnley fan. As great as he is for us he shouldn't be anywhere near a vote for player of the season

Panel of experts selected the candidates. Fans votes count for 10% of final rankings.

Well done, James Tarkowski. You've got my vote.

And, well done Sean Dyche and Burnley FC.

I believe it's picked by a panel of ''experts'' at EA, 23 players, only Pope and Mahrez made it in from outside the top 6.

We posted at similar time, DA.

Aren't all "panels of experts" Burnley fans this season?

The panel names are published somewhere - I'm sure you can find them if you care to look.

Fink Tank published some stats in The Times, Saturday. Nick Pope was 9th in their table, 25,500+ points based on "contributions to team" throughout the season. De Gea was the only keeper ahead of him, 26,800+. Given that Tom Heaton was our No.1 before the Palace game, it may be that Nick has scored more highly than De Gea since Tom's injury.

I prefer to base my opinion on what I see and not stats. Pope has been one of the best in his position this year whereas I dont think Tarks is in top 5 for just centre backs and arguably not even the best CB for Burnley so definitely not one of the players of the season

Most likely because Tarky would make less money for EA than someone like Otamendi or Azpilicueta. I'm surprised they even put Pope in.

Yeah precisely that, still completely defeats the purpose of it being ''Team of the season'' though.

Man United had 4 - Young, De Gea, Lukaku, Matic.
Chelsea had 1 - Azpilicueta
Man City had 8 - Sane, Sterling, Aguero, Walker, Otamendi, Fernandinho, Silva, De Bruyne.
Spurs had 5 - Son, Alli, Kane, Eriksen, Vertonghen.
Liverpool had 3 - Salah, Firmino, Mane.
then Mahrez and Pope.

Once you have cast your vote (for Tarkowski presumably), if you clear your browsing history and go back onto the voting page, you can cast your vote again (and again....)!

Not that i would ever encourage any Burnley supporters to indulge in such skulduggery....

Done. TBH I've never heard of the others. I blame Sky and the BBC for saturating the tele with us . :D
