Hopeless, on the beach performance but we couldn't have played Arsenal on a worse occasion. More gutted about the injury to Barnes than the result though. It's been a great season and it's the first time we've been truly battered so today was a blip.

Simply outclassed by a far better side who were well on their game today. All the Wenger situation didn’t help us, our lads look exhausted and who can blame them.

1 defeat in 9 before today, European football secured. When the fixtures came out I was worried this could be a day where we were fighting for survival, instead it was a dead rubber.

Let’s just look forward to a party atmosphere next weekend and to the European tour ahead.

The fans who were aggrieved at the club taking a small allocation & missed out had a very lucky escape. That was as bad a performance we've had under Dyche. Unlucky for us it was also against a classier team who were on song.

Arsenal were good, and no better than good, but this is the easiest victory they’ll have had in years. We were static from the first whistle. Really poor.

Pope 5 Only made 1 save but no chance with goal
Lowton 4 tried to get forward in second half but was left hopelessly exposed
Long 4
Tarks 3 Showed his lack of pace
Ward 3 Been a shadow of his former self since return from injury
JGB 5
Cork 4 Outnumbered and outclassed today
Westwood 4 as above
Lennon 3 Looks lost and uninterested . Needs to change or go
Hendrick 5 looked better than normal but maybe because rest were so bad
Barnes n/a
Vokes 4 Missed our 1 clear chance with header straight at Cech.
GKN . Not on long enough to mark but looked livel
Wells. What is the point of coming on after 85 other than to waste time.

Game was like a pre/season or Wenger Testimonial. Very strange. Why did we not close down or tackle ? Also why was there no added time in second half when there had been 5 subs ? What was that about ? although it helped us keep the score at 5

What a sad way to end such a great season. Sorry for the fans who spent good money to endure that. Hopefully it was just a one off and not a sign of things to come. Rant over

Pope - 6 - despite letting in 5 goals he wasn't that bad
Lowton - 5 - seem to struggle but the lack of effective cover for him didn't help
Long - 5 - Did okay, was probably the best of the four defenders
Tarks 4 - some ridiculous moments
Ward - 4 - Didn't get the support he needed but even so this was bad
JBG - 5 - not involved much going forward
Westwood 5 - rarely in the game
Cork 5 - ineffective
Lennon 3 - just terrible
Hendrick -6 - thought he wwas the best of the midfielders
Barnes - 5 - not on long enough
Vokes 4 - ineffcetive

I think everyone here is blind to kevin longs obvious flaws as a defender. He doesn’t score enough head volleys to be a top class central back

The purpose of this thread is to rate the players on this particular match, and not what you think of the players overall.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not, I haven't accused many players of lacking effort since Dyche arrived but Lennon today just couldn't be arsed. Lost the ball when he got it and walked back to defend.

Lennon was average, Gudmundsson and Tarkowski were good and Long was abysmal? really? I thought Tark let down Long today, f**k knows what Tark was doing when he decided to dribble back towards his own goal instead of smashing it clear. If Lennon was average then I'd hate to see him play badly, he walked back to defend and offered zilch going forwards.

Just got back. The performance was poor and the view no better. They need to put a big screen up like they have at West Ham, then you can see the game properly.

Vokes 3 Think big Sam still has something to offer but today nothing stuck, his hold up play was awful, but the service to him was worse
Wells Not on long enough, but he should have been, if there was nothing to play for howcome he only got 1 minute, poor management I`m
afraid from our leader, less discussion behind the hand and a bit more proactivity when the game is screaming for a change.
