Happy days. Pity we can't draw crowds like that now, even if the ground could hold it.

Supporters wanting to go to the game were warned by Althams Travel that they WOULD need passports. Passengers on flights from London to Paris didn’t need them but from Manchester they were very much required. Althams offered full help to people in acquiring passports.
What's that about?
Was the north considered a different country or something ?

Remember going to the 5-3 game v Wolves with my dad but I wasn't allowed to go to the Reims game- big crowd, schoolnight, take your pick but I was very disappointed. Some forward line for Reims even without Fontaine.

Exactly what I thought. I have never heard of that but then again I was never flying anywhere at that time.

I found that quite baffling - also hard to believe now that the local travel agent had to get involved in helping to arrange passports for people.

I fully expect a sell out for the home leg against whoever we draw in those qualifying rounds.

After all the stick we gave that lot down the road for their gate against Trelleborgs, all those years ago, we'd look pretty silly if we didn't, right?

There will be no problem selling out for the home matches

wrong.

Pricing will determine the gate figure.

Nope. Pricing is irrelevant for a game of this magnitude.

That's what we told Bastards all those years ago.
