From memory individual supporters groups sponsored most of them. I know that Accy Clarets paid for either 4 or 5 of them, which cost us £1300.Chip Harrison wrote:Did you really have to raise the funds Tony for the pictures around the ground? Did the club not pay for them?

I was/am surprised that Trevor Steven wasn't/isn't in an Everton kit.

I have received your email and I replied on Thursday at 9 p.m. - it's not from the account you emailed initially though. I've just sent it again.claretpipe wrote:Tried sending an email to the address supplied but haven’t heard back? Not sure how else to make contact.

Re: Ground Improvements at Turf Moor - Fans Group
When I posted this thread last week I was hoping I might get a response from one or two people. I wasn't expecting any more to be honest. I've received replies from ten fellow Clarets and the group is now set up with all of them. I think it might be some time before there is any news from the group but things are at least now underway.

Not really a maintenance issue but I wish they'd introduce card payments at the food kiosks.

I actually think this simple change would make the biggest improvement to my match day experience. Contactless payments (even scanning your Team Card with a preload pay function, meaning they wouldn’t hve to pay Visa/MasterCard) would speed up queues and mean people paid more. I often want something at half time but have no cash on me. I’m baffled it doesn’t already existFretters wrote:Not really a maintenance issue but I wish they'd introduce card payments at the food kiosks.

Re: Ground Improvements at Turf Moor - Fans Group
What determines it being a success or not?
Is it things have gone wrong or it wasn’t used by a lot of people?
If it was the latter then that can be for a number of reasons mostly outside influences.
Customers not used to paying on card so not having them. Just an example of this up here in sunny Jarrow. There is a Bakery near me called Cooplands up until recently they have been a cash only shop. I still go in with cash even though I know I could use my card sort of force of habit thing.
Poor advertisement
These are just a couple off top of my head I haven’t attended this season so wouldn’t know either way. I’m sure they will do due diligence and look into the reasons before abandoning it.

Re: Ground Improvements at Turf Moor - Fans Group
A second beer stall is needed in the CFS, best positioned outside, could maybe run beer from the food stall already there? Anyone in the CFS can testify when going into the concourse at HT for the toilet or food/drink it is an absolute crush at the stall at the bottom of the steps. No one can move and the toilets and the second food stall are on the other side of the queues for the beer stall. Can easily spend 10/15 mins trying to get through it all just to have a pee.

I think it's great that the Club involves the supporters and takes on board feedback. It prevents the fiasco like Leeds had with their new logo.

Only if it's a wide range of supporters.LoveCurryPies wrote:I think it's great that the Club involves the supporters and takes on board feedback. It prevents the fiasco like Leeds had with their new logo.
If you've got a commitee full of happy clappers, who believe the club do no wrong, it'll be worse than having no commitee at all.
I'd love to be involved.

Re: Ground Improvements at Turf Moor - Fans Group
Can I just emphasise that the group has now been set up but it is not an Up the Clarets group although this board has proved to be a very good starting point for publicising it and getting people on board. It has been set up predominantly to look at improving Ormerod Yard.randomclaret2 wrote:What percentage of Burnley fans use this messageboard ?
It's not a committee as such, just a group of Burnley fans with differing views (as it should be) on how to take things forward although I suspect it could be some time before there is anything to report.
I ha intended letting this thread run but then I read comment such as: "If you've got a commitee full of happy clappers, who believe the club do no wrong, it'll be worse than having no commitee at all," then I think it is best to close it.
