Even though we lost, I thought, the best football we played was against Man Utd. Even their supporters were saying they had been footballed off the pitch at times.

It's a bit difficult to know which to include but I didn't think people would want to vote for a defeat.

I also thought the ManUre defeat was our best all round performance at home but your reasoning for not including defeats is a good one too, CT.

Has to be City for me. An extremely tough task but the boys did us proud that day.

The first ten minutes against Leicester in a must-win match takes some beating.

Swansea were poor but I thought we played well that day and should have won by a bigger margin but has to be Man City.
A performance that showed what we were all about.

I personally enjoyed the Everton comeback.

Manure defeat at home was good tho... for a defeat.

It has to be Swansea or Everton.

For a team we are supposed to emulate (say some of our own fans) we out footballed Swansea and could have had a few more.

The Everton game was the Ashley Barnes show and had more importance than the Swansea match. It took a half time b0llocking from the Chief to get us going though.

Everton it is.

The last half-hour against City was sublime we should have won that day,so have to plump for that game.Agree the Everton game was more important but their defending was comical in the second half.

We were good against City for a little spell but to say we should've won is bonkers, Sterling should've had us dead and buried.

No, it's not bonkers tbh. Sterling should have scored, but Lennon was unbelievably unlucky and we didn't just come back following Sterling's miss, we roared back!! Ultimately I came away more than a little disappointed we didn't get all 3 points!

Yeah! but after that we had the better chances and it took a world-class save to stop JBG scoring.

I said we could have nicked it in the last 20 minutes, doesn't mean we deserved to win,but City could have killed the game long before then, the fact they didn't gave us belief to give it a go.

Given the chance I’d have voted for another defeat - against Arsenal. I thought we played them off the park for half n hour, and certainly didn’t deserve to lose.

You have to look at City's record at the time we played them. From memory they'd lost to Liverpool, drew with Everton and Palace and won every other game.

At 1-0 they were odds-on to go on and win. Great character to get a result and to take the game to them in the latter stages. Gave us the springboard for the five straight wins which followed soon afterwards and secured a finish in the Europa League places.

What a tough one! Think it has to be Swansea as it’s the only match on that list where we were by far the dominant team. Could easily have lost any of the others. Makes you realise how good we were away as I don’t think any home match would make it into the top 5 for the season

Before I opened the post to see the list Man City came into my head, we got a bit lucky but still the best for me. Leicester was second.

The City Game at Home for me. It demonstrated a lot of what we're all about under Dyche. A real indicator of the cause of our Success. Resilience, hard work, tenacity, and no shortage of skill. The cross and the finish were of a top, top quality.

People are seeing past the results. I voted for the City game but I have to admit to being surprised it's in front. It had to be a good performance just to get anywhere near them that day, they played better than they'd done in the two games against us at the Etihad.

Swansea was our most assured performance. Completely in control even with the weight of expectation on us.

I voted for Man City though, one of the only teams to take points off then and we more than deserved it.

Special mention for Leicester too

Leicester for me. Was a must win for european qualification and against a bogey team in recent years

My second choice, but always in the back of my mind was my thoughts that they weren't very good.

I thought our best three home performances all ended in defeat, Arsenal Liverpool and Man United. But from what is available to vote on and using the word performance it would have to be Swansea at home where it was the only game all season we dominated from the first whistle.

I went for Everton.
They were a goal down at half time but I thought the first half performance was much better than in the previous game against Southampton (which was pretty poor).
The last 30 minutes against City was arguably more enjoyable but Everton was an important game because it ended the run without a win and showed that the team could come back from behind in the Premier League.
Plus I enjoyed watching Allardyce revert to type by trying to settle for the draw and failing.
